Start in Globasnica and combine the return with a bike (hide it beforehand at karavla, Reht or Mežica)

@turbo Quite a complicated variant. I think it's actually simpler to do it from the Austrian side. Start under the cable car, up to the Austrian hut (can also take the cable car, but it's perfectly fine on foot, and if you wish you can spice up this part with ascent via Walter Mory Klettersteig), then to Knipsovo sedlo, to Kordeževa glava and then return on the same path back to Knips. From there onwards it's straightforward - Končnikov vrh, Bistriška špica, Veška kopa, then descent over Veška planina back to the cable car (here you need to be a bit careful not to descend towards Globasnica. Otherwise it's marked in both directions). Fairly simple variant, only the Knips-Kordež part has to be done both ways. If any area expert knows a direct ascent variant from the Austrian hut to Kordeževa glava without having to go to Knips, I'm all ears ;-)

Hi, thanks for the suggestions, I see it can be done with one car, even if alone, and you described the variants well too. Super, very happy! GOOD LUCK

I went from Koprivna precisely because it was the closest starting point for me

Park one early in the morning as you imagined in Mitnik, then happily to Peca, traverse summits, from Veška kopa descend to Luže, from there to Kumra, ask Marko and he'll pull you to your car. If interested in night hike on Peca, you can join me and the group for part of the way when we go K-24. That'll happen when summits are dry. Regards. JanezS

Hello, I'm wondering if the climbing route to Peca is already dry? Thanks

Today hiked the climbing route. The climbing route is completely dry. Just below the summit where the climbing and easy route join there's still some snow, but no issue.

Hi, has anyone recently headed to Peca from Jakobe starting point? How's the road there, as some mention occasional full road closure from Črna?

On Sunday from below the cable car to Bistriška špica, then along the ridge to Kordeževa glava and return via ski slope back. Nice weather and good tour to stretch the legs

On 2.7.2023 the road to Jakob from Mežica is passable.

You need to watch out for potholes in some places, but no problem

Hello, I'm wondering how the accessibility of the paths to Peca is after these storms? Regina

Yes, really bad. Probably no access was spared.

We were on Peca some time ago from Topla valley, then to the hut and to the starting point. What do you think about the surroundings of the hut. Nice??????? Just neglect around the hut, and nobody sees the real state anymore ... Everyone writes where I was ... I don't care. Better write the real condition of the paths, well of course - if your eyes can see anything at all. LP!

Oh, just clean up around if you think it's so neglected and it bothers you, complaining on the forum won't solve anything. Or just don't go up there anymore, right?

@jusk Do you even know how mountain huts are arranged elsewhere. Obviously you have no idea, and in the end, you won't tell me where I'm going. If I write some criticism, all you social media friends get angry, because you go to the mountains to take photos and post to show where I was. Oh well, that's how it is. LP!

Some go to the mountains for joy. "For the soul". To enjoy the mountain air, birdsong, sound of the wind and endless views. To rest from the valley and come back happy. Others maybe to look for flaws and then pour sewage over everyone... Well...to each his own... I don't say, I've had unpleasant experiences myself sometimes...but it really surprises me that this can happen to someone always and everywhere...
