Now this "path" is even nicer, circular, also to Topla valley. We tested the hunting path to Topla yesterday, which turns into a sheep path in the last part. velik nasmeh

It nicely brings you to the starting point!

Nice trip we had, no doubt! The passage past the towers is wonderful, rugged, not easy but not too demanding either. The surrounding world is wild and lonely. Peca is beautiful!

Today a bit differently to the top. nasmeh

From the marked path we deviated into the gully, which I already knew from before. Since last time on the hunting path I had enough velik nasmeh

, today I decided to continue up the gully to the top. Quite some gymnastics was needed, at the end when the gully closes, a 10-meter jump awaited us. Luckily the solution was on the other side. velik nasmeh

We exited exactly on the grass at the end of the secured path.
Then a jump to the top and descent via the secured path past the Hut back to the Topla valley. nasmeh

Walls closing the exit from the gully. We choose the right ledge… good grade II.

On the right is visible the longest gully up which we climbed. On the left Gladki žlih is visible.

Road from direction Črna, from the turnoff to Podpeka, due to bridge construction, completely closed. Access to Jakob only possible from Mežica direction.

Garmont, can I get some GPX of the path through that gully (or roughly drawn on map)? I've been tempted for a while to explore another path from Topla to Peca. In the Karavanke guide by Klemn Janša there's description of pathless terrain from Zajčja peč (from waterfall), but haven't heard of path through this gully.

No GPX track.
Look at my second picture, that's the place where the gully starts. That's about 35 min walk from the start of the path in Topla towards the Hut. Marked path turns sharply right here, you just continue straight. Right at the start annoying jump, and later quite a few more. In between you cross the hunting path and continue to the end closed by a wall, where the hardest part of ascent awaits. Once overcome, difficulties end. nasmeh

Yesterday on Peca - up the protected route, down the "normal". On this path directional signs on high poles, winter path markings - commendable. Larches already getting autumn colors.

On Sunday the road was open, it seems they don't work on weekends, otherwise everything is torn up, so the works are still ongoing. Lp

I'm interested in the conditions on the path for the circular route from Topla- Knepsovo sedlo- Peca- Dom na Peci- Topla?
Is the path already trodden?

Yesterday winter tour to Peca. Topla-saddle-Kordeževa glava-Knipsovo sedlo-Topla. Whole path in snow. Surprisingly much snow. Path trampled, track even up to saddle, warm sunny top, fog all day below. Circular trodden in steps, gaiters still good. Many visitors yesterday.

On Sunday reverse of Domch. First to Kneps then past hut back to Topla.
