On Saturday around 7 at Koča Savica they didn't collect neither for parking nor for waterfall viewing, until 8:00 there was no one there... no trace of any parking meter.

Parking at Savica is church property and not in the package regulated by the new decree.

Until they collected toll to Blato I had to park a good kilometer below Vogar-Blato junction several times. Since toll collection, I always got at least halfway from junction to Blato. And I like that a lot! As far as I know, no parking fee on Blato, only toll for Blato in valley. Probably means car on Blato for 10€ whole week.

On Bohinj municipality website it says:
"Road Stara Fužina - Voje - Vogar - Blato 10.00 €/road use per day. From 1.1. to 31.12. Payment time 00:00 to 24:00."
Parking on Blato is really free, but road use is charged per day! So, at least according to what's written on their site, I assume that multi-day hiking above Planina Blato could be damn expensive if they stick to the letter of the law

On the website for the road to Blato it says Price: '10.00 EUR/road use per day' - so if car parked up there not using road but use it only up and down... down anyway no one checks tickets or pay road up/down. What changed then?

I interpret this regulation like this. When I go up, I pay 10€. If returning the same day, that's it. If returning later, they can (not necessarily) charge me another 10€, because I'm driving that road again Last time there was really no control on the way back (years ago), how it is now and what it will be when the barrier comes, who knows?

Even on Pokljuka they have started collecting 5 euros/day, I don't know where on which parking, but they will expand paid parkings over time.

I called the Bohinj tourist society, for Pl. Blato 10€/day, if you return the next day you pay another 10€. The lady on the other end was not friendly at all, she said it's my choice come or not, that's true but is it the right approach? dunno. Tourist tax in huts also to pay again for hiker with membership, wasn't needed before. Parking is municipal decree, should check if legal.

That's how it is. Lots of folks and then they jack up prices. Like in Croatia... they raise tolls and ferries in the season, folks more and more... expect even higher prices everywhere... depending on "demand".

Are they normal? Pay 10 euros again when returning. For hut tax I know, waitress in Aljažev dom told us. I think she said from Aug 1 ban cars in Vrata. Trial. Don't know what else to invent. Like that TNP guard who comes at 22 to Vrata parking and shines in every car if someone is sleeping. Not allowed in TNP. Wouldn't believe if not seen.

I'm surprised PZS doesn't speak up for hikers, if we pay membership they should fight for discounts at municipalities. All take money, human last who thinks of him. Need good lawyer to check this. Couple years ago wanted to charge kayakers tax too, think on Bled, kayakers complained to environment ministry and won. Municipality had to withdraw decree.

If money flows to municipal budgets spent on salaries of big apparatus and self-serving projects, then high taxes parking etc seem very dubious to me. But need to curb this pleb rush high into mountains. Wild "camping" in cars also dubious. Must ask...what if all did it...where would we end...Finally...with right idea nature without plebs full wallet...Don't know...where Bohinj Kranjska Gora etc invest collected money, trumpet solutions for years...changes microscopic..True we hard to give up our "door to door" comfort...most hard even 10 min wait for bus to trailhead..need to last ramp...

Marko, agree with written but , when loaded almost 7 crosses, this pony help brings you deeper into mountains pastures, where still can go meaningful life. Will even this be forbidden, wait at home only for Matilda. Just hills were accessible to pensioners with poor pension. Think TNP Slovenian park not just Bohinj one can't invent all access limits themselves. State should say here too!

I can't help but agree with you. Just hinting that alternative mobility ways from theory and talk could be put into practice. For you it would be the same if you park in the valley, then a safe stress-free van brings you, even stimulating; for a bit less price than they now demand for road use. And feeling around pasture more primal when you count more cows than steel "ponies". True...due to our nature we will use it only when access really banned...or extremely expensive..probably sadly so.

Luckily there are still many beautiful areas and hills around, so let them have the lake, the road and all parking lots. As long as there are sheep to shear they'll shear them.
