That's how it was today on Grmada. I climbed to the summit from Dvor and descended to Belica. Both paths are quite muddy in the lower part, otherwise without special features. Lp Tadej

Yesterday Drago and I headed up. There was just a hint of sun, but it was very windy. We started a bit below 'Mehačka'. Yesterday I tried hiking poles for the first time, good thing.. and nice greetings!

Yesterday I hiked from P.Gradec over little Grmada to Grmada, in shady spots some ice and snow, in sun some mud, and even early reptiles I met. Same on Lubnik, where I headed in the afternoon too, for 200 driven km just Grmada would be too little.

We met the sun only around 800 m a.s.l., but it was worth it. We replenished vitamin D stocks and enjoyed interesting views . The path from Polhov Gradec via Setnica and along the ridge to the top is definitely the nicest hiking trail far and wide for me.

The Ljubljana fog wanted to spoil my day in the morning, but I didn't give in and headed to Grmada. It initially looked bleak, then the blue sky showed up and the sun shone, though it hid more behind the clouds. Visitors like on a weekend at BTC. Obviously all craving valley views, even from 898 m a.s.l. I spent a nice warm autumn day.

This Grmada reminded me of the last time I ascended Košutica, which is a good 1950 m a.s.l., while Grmada is just under 900 m a.s.l.

@ljubitelj gora, I gladly believe it was nice on Košutica too, though I haven't been to the top myself, but I ate good žganci on Korošica pasture. Lp

I believe these were just as good as mine, which were buckwheat ones.

Today we climbed up to Grmada from Polhov Gradec via Setnica and along the ridge to the top. Views magnificent, strong NW wind accompanied us both ways. We descended towards St. Ursula's church and further along the same path to the starting point. The Open Doors farm is closed on weekdays.

To avoid getting too used to the Ljubljana fog, I do a trip to Polhograjska Grmada. I start the route from the main road through the Rovtarja valley and Gont to the top. The road is asphalted and suitable given the current wet ground. At the top a mild sun orb awaited me, which nonetheless gave some warm life impulse; from the SW a wind was blowing. Higher mountains were wrapped in high cloudiness today, in between up to 1600m a medium clear-visible layer. The Ljubljana basin was covered by foggy cloudiness. The trip was very pleasant and convenient.

Maybe someone knows if there's some train station nearby and how far to the starting point.

Probably the closest in Medvode , quite a bit on foot to the bottom or option for quite a long one along the ridge . Otherwise the most common starting point for tomorrow's night from the other side, namely from PG

Railway in my opinion isn't exactly the best option for Grmada. I checked the map a bit and it seems nearest train station is in Medvode. From Medvode to Grmada summit around 13 km and some 600 m elevation difference.

But haven't you thought of the bus? To Polhov Gradec they run quite regularly.

Or like, go first by train to Lj, then to bus. Although then a bit more problem with ride back to Lj . If you'd ask around a bit for transport, probably someone would be found to offer it. We mountaineers never mind offering it .
