This year's night hike to Polhograjska Grmada was marked by dry path, not cold air, wonderful clear night and large number of hikers. With friends we took a much longer tour this year: Polhov Gradec – PD Blagajana hut – Hunting hut – Grmada summit – Gonte – Katarina – Toško čelo – Podutik – home bed velik nasmeh

For today's cultural Saturday we headed to Polhograjska Grmada. Weather super, lots of mountain lovers...we chose the path from Gabrje village. This path is described on hribi.net as "easy MARKED path". But sadly it's not so zmeden

- All the way to the "official" parking under Grmada, we didn't see a single marking jezen

. Twice we got lost, pushed through blackberries, climbed through fallen trees...well, after two and a half hours finally reached the top jezik

. Obviously this path is not crowded (didn't meet any hikers) and thus not maintained. If the path is described as "marked path", then let it be!!! So PD MEDVODE INTO ACTION!!! I think you are responsible for this path??!!

From the starting point Dvor we climbed through the forest to the hunting hut and then made a circular route. Up wooden stairs and rocks directly to Mala Grmada and then with slight descent and ascent to Grmada. Back we went by another path, around and crossing the slopes of both Grmads, and returned to the hunting hut and then to the starting point. The entire path dry, interesting and full of spring flowers. Due to cloudiness somewhat poorer visibility.

You don't always have to go high into the mountains for nature to give you moments for heart and soul. We got them on Thursday, when beautiful sunset on Polhograjska Grmada was greeted by full moon. nasmeh

Today on Grmada windy and a bit icy, as there were a few cm of snow that fell from about 450m onwards, trampled by the feet of numerous hikers. Again, despite obvious winter conditions from the valley, the summit was full of people in Adidas slippers, who were slipping and falling on paths below the summit.

Today on Grmada like in a beehive. Path is fine, about hikers I wouldn't comment.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how many cars there were at the trailheads. velik nasmeh

But Grmada is (for a reason) a popular goal, you have to come to terms with it or not go there at all.

Hikers' culture was super, no noise, some pleasant exchanges of words, everyone kept their distance and it was a very pleasant day. Next time I'll go to something less known. velik nasmeh

The easiest way to the natural window is from the hunting hut along the path under Grmada. After about 10 minutes of walking there's a poorly visible path left upwards. From the window onwards there's a traceable path to Grmada. For better orientation check picture number 32 route description Dvor - Polhograjska Grmada (marked path 1:45 hours).

Window found, super. nasmeh

If we turn off the transverse path earlier upwards through scree and gully, we find a cave too. It's a bit harder to access. From it upwards and soon we reach the path to Mala Grmada and further to the higher sister.

After two years up again. Start from Topol, path in shade and with pleasant wind whistling, maintained perfectly! I even noticed a newer first staircase...

Views from the top really top, especially towards KSA and LJ basin! nasmeh
