So, besides the four roe deer, also this:
Krokar, Kokoš, Medvedjak, Orlovo gnezdo, Kapunar, Konjski vrh, Svinjak, Kobilja glava, Planina Konjščica, Lastovec, Konj, Pasja ravan and Jelenk. These are larger, more visited peaks; for lower hills, of which there are plenty throughout Slovenia, it would be harder to list them.
All listed peaks have only one owner.
That means the roe deer is still ahead.

They are not just lower hills, among them are Kanjavec 2569, Mišelj Konec 2464, Bovški Gamsovec 2392, Mišelj vrh 2350, Konjc, Jerebica, Konjiška gora, Klopni vrh, ušje 2048, Vrh ovčje planje 1965, V.Jelenk 2114, Čukla 1767, all four Tičarice, Kobilnica 1558, Konj 1800, etc

No matter how you turn it: Bab (Small and Big) is the most common in our hills. We name them depending on the mood: mouse (Mišelj vrh, Mišelj konec), hen (Kokoš), mare (Kobilja glava), goat (Divja koza), cow (Kravji vrh), ..........

Actually, stamp collectors could have, besides all transversals, also a transversal across Big and Small Babas. It would be quite interesting hill-climbing. If we achieved mass, we might get into the Guinness book under Baba with the most grandpas.
And to balance, a transversal to Dedci would be OK too. Can you imagine the headline in the newspaper the second day after the hike of 100 women to Dedec?

I admit that the debate about grannies and grandpas is always interesting. It could be the next riddle related to that, then the debate would develop endlessly and cover most users of this site. But since the forum is dedicated to mountain topics, I'd be glad if this riddle was solved, which seems almost impossible to me because there are really many corners in the mountains named after animal names. No peak in Slovenia is named after penguins, yet if anyone is interested: Natural History Museum of Slovenia invites you on Thursday, 11.11.2010, at 18:00 to the lecture AMONG ANTARCTIC PENGUINS.
Of the total 18 known penguin species only two live exclusively in Antarctica: Adélie and emperor penguin. Rockhopper and Antarctic penguins adapt well to environmental changes and live in subantarctic and antarctic area. Royal penguins live only on subantarctic Macquarie Island, which they share with king penguins. The lecture will be a comparative presentation of the listed species that share habitat in the area of Antarctic Peninsula and Victoria Land.

I'm not sure. Tough dilemma: did thrushes get the name from the bird or vice versa? What came first?
I also didn't know that Svinja planina is named after lead (see today's Gorazd's post on Gore-ljudje).
But I'm sure I missed something else. Or that I assigned some peak to the wrong animal (e.g. Mušji vrh - whose is it, fly's or mule's, as they call donkeys in upper Posočje?)
