If anyone is going to Porezen today, could you please give info on the conditions? Is there a lot of snow or is it melted?

This morning on Porezen from Petrov Brdo. Path through forest muddy in places, under leaves hides icy patch here and there making descent more adrenaline-filled velik nasmeh Caution advised. Along ridge still some snow just keeping muddy path from drying velik nasmehvelik nasmeh Summit slight breeze, just right not too hot.

Drove to Zgornja Davča and from there off-trail to Hoč, then along ridge to Porezen. No wind, but alternating sunny spells and some rain. Accordingly equipped with rain gear and umbrella. Back down my way. Starting point TOP, from valley marked 2 hrs, if drive higher past Jurež, less than half hour less.

Today via path from Davča to summit. Winter conditions, but snow softening due to warm day and consequently sinking in. Summit blown clean and really windy today too.

Probably not, because the hike is cancelled due to the weather.
Check PD Cerkno.

Porezen sunset. Up from Davča direct through forest, icy below summit and ice axe really came in handy to make some steps. Descent along ridge back to Davča.

This part was hard as concrete, ice axe very useful. Steps to the hut became smaller, so I turned upwards on the icy slab with some dry parts, made steps with ice axe.2

Yesterday up from the direction of Petrov Brdo. No snow below, in the middle about 70 cm and sinking deep (gaiters mandatory), on the upper ridge quite windblown, in places down to grass, and firmer ground so easier walking. I had microspikes and they were useful, those who have snowshoes should take them.

Visibility about 20 m and sleet, but it didn't spoil the mood. nasmeh

Path excellently marked. First time and even in snow at night no orientation problems.

Summit logbook completely soaked and turning into paper mush. Don't know how, it was nicely stored in a closed box mounted under the summit plate and supposedly sheltered, but not in a plastic bag because there was none. Maybe consider a new logbook, preferably in a plastic cover.

This weekend beautiful winter scene at summit with ice candles. Without crampons below summit would be interesting.

Hello. Is the path from Petrov Brdo to Porezen trodden?
like
Patko0125. 02. 2018 22:21:15
From Petrovo Brdo there is a trail to the clearing, where the path then branches off to Hoc (touring skiers were diligent). Further on there is no trail.
Today I actually reached Pohoski kup, then turned back. Otherwise it was very nice, but a bit too much wind for my taste nasmeh Lots of drifted snow, with snowshoes I sometimes sank up to my knees. Without snowshoes/skis it would be quite unpleasant.
