The number is no longer valid. Due to parking it's supposedly better to leave the car at Petrov Brdo.

The road from Petrov Brdo to Podhočar is very narrowly plowed and even meeting with passenger cars is very difficult so cars must be left at Petrov Brdo or in Podbrdo.
Skiing possible to Davča to Jurež or to the gully, towards Petrov Brdo almost to Petrov Brdo.
More info on PD Cerkno web page, this weekend you can call the hut on Porezen 05 9944759 where 43rd winter hike organizers are present from today Friday March 23 on.

Porezen always surprises me again with its panoramic ridge although I climb it very rarely.

Yesterday, on first day of 43rd winter hike up from Jurež, first time on this path. Quite firm track wound in switchbacks to ridge and ended there a bit before hut. Return then on marked, quite poorly trodden path back to start.
In hut hikers got awards for long years of hikes. Acquaintance at table showed award for 40th winter hike as he started hikes as child nasmeh

At top pleasant unexpected meeting with acquaintance from hribi-net nasmeh

, I already had one with me anyway or he had me nasmeh

Views were and weren't, with combined forces we ID'd peaks, one I managed to ID only at home hope correctly - Luknja peč. Some marked it as Triglav as it showed so nicely on edge of Julians.

Yesterday Porezen really impressed me and I'll visit soon again.

Monday first time on Porezen. Start at hut on Petrov Brdo to summit and back. Snow starts soon at second forest entry. Marked path has quite a few fallen trees so went direct up forest zigzag a bit left of marked path. On ridge fairy tale sun nice view moderate wind snow held no breakthrough except bit back when time past noon. Still much snow ski touring still good. Hut like igloo (snowbound) was inside colder than out. Many visitors esp skiers. Nice summit worth repeat. On way back jump to Lubnik more views admire mežikanje

Today I was on Porezen from Petrov Brdo. A little snow from the saddle between Hoča and Porezen to the spot where we first see the hut. The weather was very nice, not too many hikers.

Today car keys were found on the steep path from Porezen to the village Poče, probably for Renault Laguna. Whoever misses them can get them in Poče no. 11.

On the PZS website it says the hut is open only Sat, Sun and holidays nasmeh

Interested in circular route;

Start Razpotje - ascent to Medrce - return via Porezen and continue to Cimprovka along the ridge to start. Timings and peculiarities.

When I was already in Gorenja vas I decided to go from Davča to Porezen too, straight up through the forest to the ridge below the hut. Weather excellent, light breeze, warm, met almost no one. Super afternoon.

Today with colleague we did a tour to Porezen. Start at parking of Franja hospital. Path is marked - three and a half hours for the way. Path soon after abandoned road gets a bit annoying, but soon a nice extensive forest traverse starts, even with some protections. On Labinjske lehe, more meadows than pastures, we spot our goal - Porezen. From there one hour to the top. On the top today there was a view you can only dream of. Back we went past the hut on Porezen - we made a loop past hunting hut on Šaš, through Labinje village - here cute church on hill, through Poljane village. It was beautiful.

For resting there is also a bench at the top.

Yesterday again to Porezen from Petrov breg. At the start "pleasant" -7 degrees, during the day it warmed to zero. On the path just a few cm of snow, towards the top max 8. Despite the sunny morning, clouds gathered quickly. At the top a very strong icy wind was blowing.

Beautifully snow-covered Triglav still in clear weather

There is only a few cm of snow everywhere

Clouds quickly started coming from the west

Today with a friend skied the slopes of Porezen. Snow excellent. No damage to the skis, which is very good news currently. Went from Jurež by the shortest variant to Vetroven vrh and from there as quickly as possible to the lee of the east slope and forest. More at: https://www.gore-ljudje.net/objava/145085/

You can go on foot too, but because of deep snow snowshoes are recommended. Hikers didn't make a track.

Yesterday again on Porezen. This time almost no wind and lots of visitors. On the ridge some snow blown away, careful skiing needed. Then enough snow for good skiing in forest and grassy slopes. More at: https://www.gore-ljudje.net/novosti/145121/
