In this thread I suggest we discuss the pre-New Year's meeting, where and when it should be, the course of the meeting and who will attend it.

I suggest, when we agree on the location, we immediately set the date! We know that on the forum we're from all of Slovenia and even Croatia.
So, suggestions!!!
I think the hut or inn should also be accessible by vehicle!

Since this year Slovenian hikers' day was on Krim, I suggest that location. Such a practice could then continue in the following years too. So where Slovenian hikers' day is, there the New Year's party. Thus we avoid the debate why there, why not here etc.

Given that quite a large number of us who go to the mountains from different parts of Slovenia will gather, choose a lower and more accessible meeting location.
I think the Ljubljana area, which is in the center of Slovenia, would be suitable. If there's a lot of snow, have a reserve meeting somewhere on the coast.
There are many winter location proposals. Let me mention some:
1.Slavkov dom on Golem brdu
2.Katarina above Ljubljana (gostilna Shwarzmann), possible short walk to Jakoba!
3.Toško čelo (gostilna Babnik)
4.Šmarna gora
5.Polhov Gradec, (gostišče v Setnici) and one-hour walk to Polhograjsko Grmado.
All these locations are always accessible by vehicles and recognizable. Krim itself is the central geometric point, but in winter less accessible, hut average in offer and space. It would be good to change locations to see more than uniformity, that's why there are hills and mountains. This is just my humble opinion. Regards-Rok

location should be somewhere in central Slovenia and suitable so that most will come by car. Also more known. So not too high and a suitable place.
Maybe really the smartest is that Tadej determines two or three and then we vote. Or somehow else... tell your opinions others!

We Štajerci are for the hut on BOČ, it's also accessible by cars, and you can climb to the top. That's my proposal. lp

Well, I really don't see the reason why we should go up exactly by car. This is a hiking forum not car forum. To Krim you can also go nicely on foot by road even if not well cleared. And if you drag sleds up you can slide down with them too. And maybe the lake in Rakitna is already frozen and you make some excursion there too.

Regarding the date, I suggest weekend. Some have shift work and during the week it can be tight. Or not at all...
If the car can't be left right at the door we'll go a bit on foot. No force (just not icy ?!? ).
