Start at 10 a.m. from in front of Erjavčeva hut. Already at Vršič it was blowing quite nicely and mists were racing in the wind. The day in the high mountains was sunny with a few wisps of cloud in the sky and very windy. At 13:10 summit reached - we went via ridge path. Views all around were wonderful. Blue sky, white Triglav and sea of fog in the valley, which was steadily rising. Shortly after 3 p.m. back at the car and the loop closed.

Hi, 3.10., around 8am we started our hike from Vršič via Kopiščar route to Prisojnik. At the start the weather didn't look promising (light rain in Jesenice, foggy at Vršič), but later, just before entering the wall, we realized all fear was unnecessary, as visibility was excellent. During the ascent itself, in the wall, the weather got even better: clear and sunny, only the wind started "playing tricks" just before entering through the window and didn't stop until descent via ridge path. We reached the summit shortly before 12pm. Views from the top, as @rerze11 mentioned, were wonderful. After a short enjoyment and refreshment in shelter below the summit, we descended via ridge path back to Vršič and thus concluded a maximally utilized autumn day in the mountains

Also on Kanceljni it was nice on Sunday. Just high enough to peek out of the gloomy fog for a short time.

Have conditions changed recently? Interested in Kopiščar route. Is there any snow left, could it be icy?

Today up Kopiščarjeva [route] and down normal [route] (via south slopes). On Kopiščarjeva wires damaged in a few places and a couple of pitons pulled out. Well regardless, path nicely passable - for experienced, of course; nowhere noticed even an ice patch, as it would be in summer. Safe hiking.

Hello everyone, Maybe the info will be useful to someone; yesterday I was on Prisojnik (up via ridge path, down via normal). All cables are ok. No snow or ice absolutely nothing, conditions are, except a bit cold wind, like in the middle of summer. Greetings all, Good luck in the mountains, Nevičica

My colleague and I used the nice day for the ascent to Prisank. The road to Vršič is completely dry. The Gladki rob ridge is dry almost to the front window. A little before the window, hard snow starts. On the ridge to the summit full of avalanches. We descended via the steep south path. In the upper part of the path snow is hard, lower quite soft. The tour is quite demanding, most of all the ridge section.

All winter I thought of Prisojnik, and wondered if maybe anyone would go up at all, finally someone went and put pictures on the portal. @matic4 all praise for this ascent. Prisojnik is my favorite mountain and I'd always put it first.

We planned via Hanz or Kopiščarjevi but there were too many other priorities, but believe me, ljubitelj, we weren't the only ones

Yes, true Juš, we weren't the only ones. Besides us today on the summit three ski tourers via Slovenska. Via Grebenska nobody for a long time. Track visible on Matic's second pic ended there. Someone (probably yesterday) judged that due to exposure and threatening avalanches it was better to turn back. Regards, Marjan

On national holiday 25.6.2011 we set off at 6.20am from in front of Poštarski dom at Vršič pass towards Prisank. I chose Kopiščar route, while the puffers chose somewhat easier ascent than mine, Slovenian route. I arrived at Prisank in 3h 20min. Had to cross 3 snowfields, which were icy in the morning hours, had some minor issues, secured only with ice axe, so lost a bit more time there. At Prisank, we showed some patriotism with flag display. Back to valley around 1 pm. On the way home, stopped by Soča river, which with its crystal water attracted people. There we walked a bit, took pics and slowly headed home. Had wonderful weather, day was phenomenal.

atomsic, nicely marked the holiday, so Prisank felt more festive too.

The ridge path is completely snow-free, snow in my photos is beside the path, but it is indeed a bit more demanding than the southern path.

Primož, probably we met yesterday on the Slovenian path on that snow patch which we bypassed some above, others below. That was the hardest crossing. Further in the gully there's still about 15 m of snow to cross, but it didn't pose major problems for us (maybe it was already a bit softer then). The path soon turns right out of the gully onto a small ridge, from where it's snow-free to the top. I believe it was nice on Mojstrovka too, Prisojnik will still stand for next time
