Friend went from Grohot and says the snow is very loose, so without skis or snowshoes ascent is impossible.

As far as I saw on the path to Lanež the track is made to the wall of Mala Raduha and beyond. That means it's possible to reach Raduha via Durca. Lp

Of course. Snow starts only above Radušnik and poses no problems. Track is there.

On Friday three mates went to Velika Raduha. The day was perfect, views phenomenal, we only made the access a bit harder because we didn't take snowshoes, which would have been very useful. Although the track was made, walking was very difficult. On the way we met only 2 skiers who descended a little above the hut towards the valley. On the way back we spiced up the path with skiing, from the top the descent was quite demanding, from the hut onwards perfect. We'll return to Raduha this winter

Although only conditions are posted here I'll make an exception, I was at that meetup under Raduha as predecessors mention, took part only on Sunday where I started from Luč in the dark and at the highest last farm watched sunrise. To hut solo, at hut met some new hikers m/f, really lots of us, continued to Raduha and return same way to Luč where we went for a drink together.

This weekend I'm planning to go to Raduha. What are the conditions on the path? How far can you get by car? Thanks for the info.

Today we were on Raduha. We started at the Radušnik farm, then past the Loki hut to the summit. Conditions were OK, no winter gear needed, very warm, no cloud, wonderful views. Little snow on the summit, blown away, on the path normal, off path sinks.
First time from that start, note the path especially from the beginning is not well marked. Forest has lots of forks, no arrows on trees to guide.
Road to Snežna jama looked drivable, tire tracks visible.

Interested how far the road is drivable towards the hut at Loki (by car, not snowcat...). Has anyone been that way and can give some info, please?

Yesterday on summit Raduha, start near Radušnik farm, path not difficult, to Loki almost bare, so I think you can drive by car to parking before Koča na Loki (info for Bosstjan). Towards Raduha summit no issues, no sinking, snow just right firm, views wonderful, weather great. Recommend.

Pioter: after phone call with hut keeper, hut will be open from 28.12. to 2.1. You can call the keeper directly.
