On Sunday, 16.3.2014, we set off from the starting point at Radušnik farm to the summit nasmeh

The day was gorgeous, views fantastic and there was no lack of great company at the summit velik nasmeh
The trail is well trodden, crampons not needed, snow is soft. We took good three hours for ascent.

Pictures from the hike can be seen on the website of Mountaineering Association Matica Murska Sobota: http://www.mojalbum.com/pdmaticams/20140316-raduha-2062m/pot-skozi-gozd/21558059

Where does snow start from Radušnik, enough so I can start using skis?

And some of my today's pics, no excessive sun, rather the opposite. No sinking in either. At two in Luče a decent shower.
Koča na Loki, empty, closed.1
Still quite some snow, didn't sink in.2
Summits more or less shrouded in clouds.3

On the ascent, at this point (right after the farm), turn left. Currently not marked8

Lidija, I see desire was stronger than weather. Fog has spoiled it for me too many times, for consolation. nasmeh

But with Polo now can't even get to the hut at Loki??? I have Kia Pro Ceed, a bit low ground clearance, don't want to scrape the underbody with anything. Thanks and best regards for the answer.

Last week it wasn't possible, this week there's also a high chance it won't be. nasmeh

Yesterday from Luče via Planina Arta to Raduha 2062m. We descended past the hut at Loki, which was unfortunately closed. Despite that, nothing bad, the tour was super!nasmeh

Does anyone have info on the drivability of the road to Koča na Loki?

On Monday had to leave the car approx. 2km before the intersection for Pl. Vodol, because of snow couldn't go further (probably different now already). lp

Today was on Raduha, as first approach after new snowfall over holidays. No one had been to the summit yet, so had to break trail in southern snow. Started good hour and half below Koča na Loki, still on asphalt road, because gravel road branches to snow hole and Koča na Loki and sign posted - prohibited for all traffic, road was in very bad condition in places. Hut closed, so couldn't cash in 2€ found on path below hut. Otherwise quite wild, given weather, fog and thick clouds, good orientation needed, since no one had walked here yet, no path or trodden. Met 4 hikers on way from Koroška side over scree, not to summit. At summit rewarded with sun and view at least to Olševa.velik nasmeh

LOKA, VELIKA RADUHA, GROHAT, BUKOVNIK (within K-24nasmeh)

At Loki a little snack, weather no longer so sunny. Above Loka shower greets us, get a bit wet. Higher we are, more snow. Sometimes foot doesn't find solid support. At summit meet three hikers. Return part of the way back, then over Durce, slide towards rescue station hut, where climb starts too. At hut eat something and continue towards lower Slemen.

Today's goal was Raduha summit, but due to strong wind, turned back with buddy instead. Weather very interesting, for some time Indian summer from sky, every now and then sun shone too. New snow up to knees in places. This was my first ascent, even if not quite to top nasmeh

On third pic you captured northern part of KSA.
From left first Skuta, all four Rinke, then Mrzla gora, Krnička gora, bit behind Velika baba and last mountain Matkova kopa.
On fourth pic you captured Karavanke. From left back Stol and front Begunjščica, right back Vrtača and foreground whole Košuta ridge, which has quite many peaks.
Roughly that and on visit of these peaks next time all clearer. From Raduha one of nicest views over our homeland, just weather must be A1.nasmeh
Nice regards!

From Raduha there is a really exceptional view. Of course, the western horizon is more interesting, but the eastern view is also interesting and even farther. Raduha is visible from taller buildings in Varaždin, and from Raduha all mountains in its area are visible too. I saw that when I conquered the summit last year. I believe, but I'm not sure, that it may be possible to spot Klek to the south too...

Now the question... I plan to visit Raduha from the north side. Is the climbing path dry?

garmont15. 05. 2014 17:28:49
Not even close. Besides the old snow on the north side, there's also about 20 cm of new snow. Checked yesterday.
