With Nejc we start in Bistrica, then we climb to Knezova planina, followed by Vodul pasture, Javorje pasture, Loka hut, Raduha. The path to Raduha is a bit more steeply trodden, excellently holds the hiker. Towards the summit it was a bit icy. From the summit we go to Durce, from there to Lanež. Here too we stubbornly walked without snowshoes. Without snowshoes we also went to Jelovec. From Jelovec, then freely via Prešeren, our own way to the road near the hut at Ježevo. Then a few more km on the road and our hike ends.

Today from Tevc to the summit.
Unmarked section of the path from the farm to the junction with the marked path from Luče, every time harder to manage. Probably years… mežikanje

Notable snow cover starts above the hut. There's a track, but it's pretty direct. velik nasmeh

If you're asking me, I can't answer, because I was on Raduha from the Loka side and didn't see the gullies in Lanež. nasmeh

Yesterday the 30th Arnič winter hike to Raduha took place. Due to company and tradition I joined the group too, but for known reasons I only walked the middle part of the path. Lower 500m by bike, instead of upper 500 on foot at the bar nasmeh

We park at Radušnik, after the dry steep meadow we turn into the forest, where dry alternates with snow. In the lower part it's still ok, higher up the path is quite icy, so spiked help is welcome. The pleasant and nicely heated hut is besieged, there was also a larger group of children. Colleagues after a short stop continue to the summit, I change, sip tea and slowly head to the nearby Javorje pasture, 200m above the hut, where I've never been. The grassy slope was mostly dry with patches of low-growing and still closed edelweiss. No frost, no heat either, the sun showed only a few times and hinted how warm it already is when it peeks out from behind the clouds. From the hut to the Raduha summit there are no such dry sections, according to summit visitors the summit ridge requires at least crampons for safe steps. It was also very windy at the top, so many turned back immediately.

The hut at Loki 1534 is already in sight.

'Akcija' is one of the few participants who hasn't missed a single hike.

Super viewpoint good 20 min above Radušnik...

How's the road for car to Loka pasture or Snežna jama?

Those microspikes enough for the path? I always have such spikes in my backpack as reserve nasmeh

Last Sunday still couldn't get by car to pl.Loka. I went from Radušnik.

27.03.22., Starting point Pl. Kosmačeve Rastke, then along nice transverse marked path to pl. Cirkovnica, then macadam road to hut on Loki pod Raduho, which upper part is still mostly under snow, locally ice. From hut onwards snow, which morning sun immediately melted so snow blanket broke through here and there, especially on return.

Hello, what are the conditions like? End of week I'd like to combine both huts (Grohot+Loka, maybe also hut on travniku for full-day tour) and Raduha. Which route do you recommend? Thanks and best.

On S side probably still some snow patches wherever you go. Winter gear essential!
You have several options. E.g. Bukovnik, Lanež via Hojnikova, descent to Loka, then pl. Arta, Raduha and descent via climbing path (dry) or over Durce. I like this variant. Check the options a bit and have a safe trip!

Anyway, for longer tour start below in Rogovilec

Return same way, at Rogovilec nice loop past Arta, but check well where it goes.

My suggestion (from own experience); start below hut on Loka, over Durce to Grohot. Return via climbing path to top of Raduha and over pl Arta past snow hole back to start.

Rogovilec, traverse to Grohot, up climbing path to summit, descent to hut on Loka, then all way to start at Rogovilec. Long, nice, not too strenuous.

Raduha was not planned for today, but circumstances took care of it. The ridge is fully green, tons of pollen, countless ants, sun burning!
I descended the marked path to Račnik and from there by road back to the car, which I left below by the Savinja. On the marked path since last visit, some new fallen trees. I removed what I could, the rest can be bypassed.
