On Monday from Logarska Valley to Turska gora and poker Rink. Logarska Valley - waterfall Rinka - Okrešelj - Turski žleb - Turska gora - Mali podi - Mala Rinka - Štajerska Rinka - Koroška Rinka - Kranjska Rinka - Mali podi - Turski žleb - Okrešelj - Logarska Valley. No crowds and pleasant conditions for walking. The weather started clouding over a bit before 12 but no rain. Turski žleb in the upper part is additionally secured with a cable so no need to cross that awkward steep slope over scree. For the downhill some parts are quite adrenaline-packed, especially the drops on parts with pegs. Otherwise Rinke never disappoint, especially if all 4 just for you jezik

. Unfortunately no chamois this time. At Rinka waterfall - Okrešelj location nothing new - you see all sorts.

Ojstrica and Rjavčki vrh in the early sun.

Mala and Štajerska Rinka invite up into the gully.

A bit along the wall, a bit on the wall and again a bit along the wall to the top of the gully.

The new addition facilitates the final ascent along the wall.

Tone mentions the closure of the path to Skuta. Under the notices we read that the path between Veliki and Mali podi under Skuta will be completely closed on Saturday, 17.08., when they were to renovate it. Is this then another closure or was the renovation successful, if anyone knows by chance?

Ločanka, the path to Skuta is still closed. On Saturday they only removed the hanging rock and did not renovate the paths on that section. Now there is an undercut broken wall and upwards to the next peg, where they cut the cable; it is missing 3-4 meters.

Yes redbull rock went to valley path stays closed have to make protections we thought we'd go next week up but no transport to bring machines up and ropes and pegs eek

On a beautiful Sunday over Žmavčarje to Rinke. Back over Sleme to Kokrsko sedlo and into the valley. Views from the top were wonderful. On the path surprisingly few hikers, only at bivouac under Grintavec we piled up, e.g. on Brana there was a crowd.
It's quite tough to return to the valley in such weather.

With wife we slowly almost reached end of Slovenian Mountain Trail. Two peaks left: Skuta and Koroška Rinka, want to conquer next year. Looking at approaches to Rinka didn't see variant via Cojzova koča at Kokrsko sedlo anywhere. We want from that hut to do those peaks. Sleep in Cojzova koča and early morning first Skuta then Koroška Rinka or reverse. Very grateful if someone tells distance from mark (pic) to top Koroška Rinka or approx from hut to mark.

From Kokrsko sedlo to Koroška Rinka is about 3 hours of solid walking, without stopping. From the junction in the photo one hour.

Thank you very much for the answer! If I calculated correctly, for both peaks from Cojzova koča and back to the hut it would take about 9 to 10 hours. Did I calculate right?

On Saturday my friend and I did one of the nicer circular tours in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. We ascended to the summits of all four Rinke. The road was drivable to the plain in V Koncu, but we parked already before Žagana peč, ascended via a path to the valley V Trati and below Gamsov skret used good fixed protections for ascent to higher slopes (well-tensioned wire rope along steep smooth slab) and continued the path to all summits. We returned via Žmavčarji and as a curiosity I note that many hikers planned overnight in the bivouac under Skuta (? condition, cleanliness and needs in the vicinity of bivouac with such large visit). The path over Žmavčarji has rather poor fixed protections, which needs to be considered when hiking.
