Yesterday I was at Roblek, the path is very well trodden and without problems. I talked to someone at the hut who mentioned that on Saturday four tried to reach the summit of Begunjščica but turned back due to collapses and avalanches. So, as Juš mentioned... We'll wait for super conditions and go to the summit better from the other side, since I

Path from Draga to Roblek Hut is really well trodden, so suitable also for pure beginners.

Today I was at Roblek... like the other 100 hikers who used this nice Sunday for a trip to nature.
Path is well trodden, as predecessors already wrote.... there was only a bit of trouble with parking, which is normal with that number of visitors...

I also ran today to Roblek. People abnormally many. I would add one thing myself. Path or trail was slippery, normal with such crowd of hikers. But then I met two who were sledding on the path with a plastic shovel. Super, a bit more such "smoothing" and on Roblek there will be a bob track.
On the way back for conditioning I also trampled the cart track from Planince to Preval. Hut at Preval is open and stocked. Then I descended through Luknja back to Draga.
One of the rare nice days this year, nothing else.

The hut is open on weekends all year round, during the week I don't know exactly how.

Today to Roblek for wonderful views. The trail lower down is wet, a good hundred elevation meters before the hut also snowy, icy in the morning. At the hut around 20 cm snow, hut open, caretakers very friendly, quite a few visitors too. Continuing to the top of Begunjščica not recommended, snow depth rises fast with altitude, snow not settled yet and so as always on steep southern slopes of Begunjščica dangerous, can slip. Today I (again) went to Roblek. From Draga to Poljska planina along the road it's pure ice like on a bobsleigh track. With small crampons it goes like butter.

Hello. I would ask for advice. From which starting point do you go (recommend) to Roblek - which is the quicker variant - but not one where you drive almost to the top (like e.g. from Tomčeva hut)? From Ljubelj over Prevala I've already been - wonderful panoramic, but more of an excursion variant in my opinion - if I go solo, I prefer steeper, to get up quicker  But rather the one from Draga or rather the one from Tinčkova hut or yet another one from somewhere there?

What about the variant: Draga - Luknja - Prevala - Kalvarija - to below Begunjska Vrtača and along the ridge to the top?

What about the variant: Draga - Luknja - Prevala - Kalvarija - to below Begunjska Vrtača and along the ridge to the top? To Prevala you go almost directly, Kalvarija is quite steep - that variant is for dry conditions:

Thanks for the reply, janez.novak. I've already been to Begunjščica via Kalvarija - from Ljubelj over Prevala, Kalvarija, to the top of Begunjščica and down to Roblek and back via Prevala-Ljubelj (really wonderful). But since I was so enthusiastic about Roblek, now as the days lengthen I'd like a quick "after work" variant for sunset - and down with a light - so I need the fastest route to Roblek (but not from Planina Planinca, as the road is in very bad shape, and it almost drives to the top
