They often open it on weekends. The sign is still there, but you drive past it.

Yesterday (28.5.2016) a nice tour to Roblek Hut on Begunjščica. (Starting point: Ljubelj-Prevala-over Roža-Roblek). Path without special features, but it was quite hot, but nice. Path to Zelenica is still snowy on some parts. Best regards

Today I went from Ljubelj via Prevala and Roža to Roblek Hut. Descended to Poljska Planina, then via Prevala back to Ljubelj.
There will be scything at Roblek on Saturday 5.8.2017 at 10 o'clock.

I'm almost 100% sure the hut is open tomorrow. It was always like that, especially since the "Friends of Begunjščica" campaign runs all winter.

Roblek Hut was very crowded yesterday. Lots of hikers and plenty of snow too. The path is well trodden.nasmeh

Today idyll up there too. Parking in Draga nicely cleared and path well trodden, despite yesterday's extra snow. In sunny weather Julians were crystal clear. No going higher, snow sinks deep, avalanche danger high too. Half hour on bench by stove was real balm...

Today at Roblek - yes, me too signing in the Friends of Begunjščica book. Winter conditions, temp at Roblek -19, wind in places - esp. below Planinca. Path excellent. On easy tour you experience real winter conditions these days like once. By hut room to rest even in wind, refresh, change. Higher totally different story.

Path from Draga to Roblek nicely trodden - lots of snow, nothing icy. Note that you can sled nicely from Planinca to Draga parking.

Is it already dry from Ljubelj through the Born tunnels to Preval? I'm even more interested in the conditions over Roža to the hut at Roblek. Any fresh info? Thanks.
