I photographed this on the path through the Šavrinsko Hills in three villages - Nova vas, Krkavče and Sv. Peter. Interestingly, there are no crosses, which are usual elsewhere, and no chapels either.

Second time around the Šavrinsko hills. This time on the hike, which was successfully carried out. I even went to the cemetery before Krkavče village and rang for three wishes. In Krkavče village we got lucky that the sexton was just working in St. Michael's church and we could look at the church. All churches in villages St. Peter, Krkavče and Nova vas are chapels of ease and liturgy happens only on holidays and funerals like last time in Nova vas.

This I took on the day of mass hike Po Vrtovčevih poteh on Sunday 19.11.2023. Mostly almost all churches were open. At Planina in St. Kancijan church I even ran into service.

The Stations of the Cross are interesting.

This church is dedicated to St. Kancijan.

This is the interior of the church of Mary's Name - center of the hike on Vrtovčeve paths.

These are three side altars. It was unlocked - but no liturgy was held here.

A somewhat unusual view up at the bell tower.

The last church on the hike was not open. It is in Ustje village - the church of St. Just. I haven't seen the other churches in the village yet.

Yesterday Pondeljkovci retirees section at PD Škofja Loka had conclusion at Crngrob in local inn. First time I was up there at all. Went direct from barracks on meadow and forest paths. Back on road. Unfortunately sexton at Crngrob lost somewhere and couldn't see church inside. But took this time quite a lot of these sacral objects-mean chapels and crosses.

The painting inside the chapel is wonderful.

The crosses were lining up one after another.

On Sunday participated in 15th hike Ob meji brez meja in Kožbansko corner. Could also be called path of four churches. Each interesting in its own way.

This was first the church in the village Kožbana. Dedicated to St. George.

Unfortunately I didn't manage to approach successfully.

I always look at the church interior and photograph all altars and some other curiosities. This is the main altar.

I always look at the Stations of the Cross in the churches. This is one station of the Way of the Cross.

Church of St. Magdalene in the village of Senik.

These Stations of the Cross in churches are interesting. None is alike.

On the way down there were also three chapels.

Chapel in front of the church of St. Andrew in the village Vrhovlje pri Kožbani.

These hill chapels have interesting ceiling sections that are not seen elsewhere in Slovenia.

It is really nicely situated on that hill.

I don't know which church that is in the valley.

Also at this church, the inscription should be restored.

Actually it is a gravestone, not a chapel.

Yesterday we walked along the Slovenian coast and also checked out Piran. In Piran there's the parish church of St. George-currently renovating the bell tower. In XI Corps street there's the church of Mary the Consoler. In Bolniška street there's the church of Our Lady of Snow, on Prešeren embankment there's the church of Our Lady of Health. So Piran people like Mary. We only saw two churches-St. George and Mary the Consoler.
