Nata24, see you walked a lot on Sunday too. Think we exchanged words on Škrlatica summit. And since you say vacation this week expect more similar feats and weather will serve you. Caught you on fourth pic too Lots of fun to all in mountains!

Bojan A... First, let me apologize for my previous comment, I didn't know it was you. Now that I know who you are, I realize you're capable of such a feat, something like that, even better!! I've been following you online for a while and I have to admit you inspire me with your mountain feats... once again SORRY!! Anyway, there are lots who just brag on the forum, unlike you who is a real mountaineer!!!! CONGRATS... HAT OFF!!!

Yesterday was a nice day for a Škrlatica visit. There were quite a few people. My personal opinion, up still goes OK, down is a bit tedious - result of fatigue. The payoff repays the effort at the top with a nice view.

Yesterday my mate and I tackled Škrlatica via Polje, one with a sore back, the other with a hangover. Slow pace, frequent breaks—not our habit—were a must yesterday. Despite everything, we summited and descended back to Vrata (cat lost on descent), taking almost 12 hours. Maybe a comparison with the recent B. Grintavec; ignoring our health problems, the ascent of Škrlatica is longer time-wise but much easier technically, in my opinion.

On Saturday we are planning an ascent to Škrlatica. Does anyone have any information on the weather outlook? Thanks and best greetings!

If you push a bit, you can be down by 12 if not sooner... thunderstorms, thunderstorms, thunderstorms. Anyway, even if you wait a bit to clear up, it won't be the end, at most more experience!

@beno Me too, planning for Saturday. I know the lower half of the path (to Bivak). There even if it's raining cats and dogs, nothing bad can happen to you, because nowhere is it steep or cliffy. So even if afternoon storms are forecast, the full ascent is doable.

Long-term forecasts are so-so. As you see no snow. Even more, this weekend 10th and 11th Sep pure summer temps many places in Slovenia up to 30 degrees. Not even for next days cooling in sight. Skrlatica for me next year. One of few important mountains in Slovenia I haven't been to yet.
