Colleague had GPS, so I don't know exactly, regarding difficulty in dry no problem imo, if snow things can change quickly! It drags a bit but I think anyone with fitness can do it in five hours!

Yesterday in beautiful weather with a headlamp I started towards Škrlatica. I didn't meet a living soul on the way, just admired the surroundings.
On the summit a bit before ten, chatted with a hiker who was already up there, then headed to Dolkova špica. A little rest then on to Bovška vratica and Križ. At Stenarska vratca due to lack of drink :angrymrk pogled(had 4l with me) decided to leave Stenar for next time and descend the scree back to the valley. Super tour, super weather, super views. To the valley arrived pretty knackered...velik nasmeh.
On the way met some chamois and some small hikers. Pictures later, computer acting up.

Nice tour you did, drinks are chronic problem in those parts. We ran out in August, and we were only on Skrlatica...nasmeh

I don't quite get it either, but what can we do, people are different, everyone drinks as much as used to even at home usually. E.g. at peak season I had about 3.5 liters enough for all-day tours, while some e.g. made it with 2-2.5 throughout, totally depends... I understand less that now in autumn you drink so much...eek

With brother we were today on Škrlatica, super tour pity we didn't do Dolkovi špica too but reason drink and tired legs. Next time maybe from the other side. Otherwise weather ideal clear above under 2000 sea of clouds.

Today on Skrlatica. Conditions OK. Scree under wall partially snowy (great for descent nasmeh). Snow on upper 300 m quite a lot in places. Sinks even over knees. Generally frozen and super for walking. Was pretty cold and windy.

Skrlatica was clear today, on the summit a bit windy and relatively warm, winter conditions on Skrlatica, ice axe, crampons and helmet needed. First serious snowfield between two rocks where secured (before belly passage), there used ice axe, later traversed ridge (easier to climb than cross steep snowfields), marked path snowy and runs a bit below ridge, higher need crampons and ice axe, just 10-15 min walk with crampons but without impossible.

Snow hard all the way to top.

Very satisfied with today and thanks to partner for company.

Well, I don't really know how much snow this is either... This year early August when I was up there it was about this much, maybe a tad less...mežikanje

Nice, nice... one question... on pics 17 and 20... is it possible that in the background on the left side (the highest) the Dachstein is visible?
