yesterday slept over (or rather lay awake because room neighbors were loud) at Kokrsko sedlo. today to Skuta like all those in Kamniks who didn't go to boss. lots of people really. up via long ridge, down "normal" path. path very ok, no snow on path anywhere, but some off path (someone could snowball or slide). view exceptional - Triglav, Karawanks ridge, Snežnik, one hill with tower we couldn't agree Krim or Kum (I think Kum because more left of Ljubljana, Krim probably hidden by peaks above Krvavec...) at one spot on descent from wall I cut myself grabbing lid of ancient tin. thanks to whoever tossed it.
would praise food and friendliness in hut, they tried hard despite impossible crowd.

Yesterday to Skuta via Zmavcarje, down via Kokrsko sedlo to valley. Path well traceable but quite steep. In wall lots of pegs and natural holds easing ascent. Views fantastic rewarding all effort. No snow patches on path. Needs decent fitness given length and steepness. Really nice tour.

From Jezersko to surrounding peaks at good pace.
About 2700m ascent and as much descent. Some fresh snow but it'll go soon.
Conditions described.

Hello, tomorrow I plan to summit Skuta so curious about snow conditions? If anyone's been recently please share info. Best Luka

Have fun in the hills, Luka. No fear of snow but watch out esp. near the top on icy rocks in shade, particularly if very early. At Skuta altitude tomorrow forecast only a footprint (in shade) plus.
Good luck.

Yesterday from Logarska over Turski žleb to Skuta, Štajerska Rinka and Koroška Rinka. Plan was descent from Koroška to Jezersko sedlo, but on rocks 1-2 cm windblown snow and slippery as hell, so after a couple of 10 meters turned back to summit and descended approach route.

Can someone tell me what the snow situation is like over Turski žleb and onwards to Skuta?
Tomorrow early morning I plan to go to Skuta, if the weather and snow allow.
Thanks.
Regards.

From 1900m upwards it has lightly snowed, e.g. if it helps, below Brano it is snowy (pics from colleague who was up there Thursday afternoon).
There is a good chance that tomorrow it will be more bare/dry than not.

Good luck

Tomorrow I intend to go to Skuta over Kokrsko sedlo. Wondering if there is any snow on that mentioned path?

Hi,

tomorrow I'd go to Skuta via Češka koča and I'm interested if anyone has hiked there (preferably this week)? How's the snow, especially the iciness? Is it already time for crampons? nasmeh
Thanks for replies nasmeh

Hi.
Yesterday my wife and I walked a loop: Konc - Kokrsko sedlo - bivouac under Grintovec - Štruca - Skuta - bivouac under Skuta - Žmavčarji - Konc. The path offers plenty of nice views of our mountains and also our valleys. Yesterday the weather teased us all who were in these parts a bit: wind and occasional poor visibility. That's why the sunny moments were more appreciated. The path is well marked, and even through Žmavčarji the right path can be found.
Best regards.

Today fog lingered up to the bivouac under Skuta, specifically on the route: Konc-Žmavčarji-bivouac under Skuta-Skuta-past Štruca-over V.pode to bivouac under Grintovec-Kokrsko sedlo.
Towards Skuta the fog cleared and it became a beautiful day.
