Thanks for the answers. Actually, I'd descend only to the junction where below Dolgi hrbet (or maybe directly over) you continue to Mlinarsko sedlo. To there (Mlinarsko sedlo) from Skuta is probably a good hour?

Roughly three years ago I went the route Žagana peč-Žmavcarji-Skuta-Dolgi hrbet-Mlinarsko sedlo-Grintovec-descent over Streho-Kokrsko sedlo-Žagana peč; it added up to 10-11 hours, yes the weather was top and I didn't exactly rush. Fast anyway I'm not the best cool

Skuta-Mlinarsko sedlo (under Dolgi hrbet) 1 hour (maybe a couple of minutes more); Dolgi hrbet-Grintovec 1 hour.

After descent from Koroška Rinka on Friday, Skuta was next, sky without a cloud, quite a few hikers. Nice tour with just the right amount of climbing, and nice panoramic peak and lots of flowers down on the slopes.

Bivouac as I passed by on the way to Coizova koča, where I spent the night.

We said let's go check out the new bivouac under Skuta. So we went, Metod, Matej and little me, through Žmavčarje up there. I like it, it's nice. While we were up there we also went to Skuta, on to Štruca, past the bivouac under Grintovec, through Vratca to Cojzova hut and down to the valley. A bit of fog, a bit of sun, lots of ibex and chamois and of course lots of hikers. It was nice.

Metod, Matej and Tinky, very nice shots of the brand new bivouac under Skuta. Unfortunately Viharnik already posted a shoe print on the wall from some Balkan guy in the worst sense. And some juicier curse that can't be posted. Shame on him to the bottom of his soul.

Nice that you added photos of the "old" bivouac to the photo selection. On one photo I spotted my panorama too. Nice memories tie me to the old bivouac - spent in fog, in snow, under full moon or in wonderful weather, where you could leave a piece of gear and climb further and rest by it on the way back. I wish the new bivouac would serve mainly its purpose - shelter, not "occupation" by 5-6 foreigners who don't even have the morals to take their trash down to the valley after a few days spent there.

Yesterday I decided to visit Skuta via Žmavčarje. Around the cable car lower station and above it, more cars than at a fair. At stop by new bivouac I follow the guys and lose some time realizing they lead too far right. Fixed protections in excellent condition, but no water at the start of the wall anymore. On top quite some visitors, among others I run into Marjan Zupančič with companions on SPP project. Descent in heat same way.

Interior of the bivouac. If the investor decided there would be no comforts (pillows, blankets), he could have chamfered the edges of the vertical slats a bit, as they are sharp as a razor.

on Sunday I did another tour in KSA. Ravenska Kočna-Češka hut-Mlinarsko sedlo-Dolgi hrbet-Štruca-Skuta-Veliki podi-Mlinarsko sedlo-Češka hut-Ravenska Kočna. Dolgi hrbet was the only one missing from the highest peaks of KSA, so I decided to visit it, and since the tour was very nice I extended it over the ridge to Štruca and Skuta. Path to Dolgi hrbet nicely protected, has one adrenaline part when you see the parked car down at parking. Otherwise ridge nicely passable, path mostly on south side and where needed wire and pegs help. Alone on top at Dolgi hrbet and Štruca, on Skuta quite some visitors. Summit book full for days. Nice views, sunny, warm and light wind. No ibex this time. Once again felt the unease and exposure of Frischauf path to Mlinarsko sedlo. When you step on Mlinarsko sedlo and on return to scree you sigh with relief. jezik

Interesting schedule for Skuta, same as for Kočna???

Frischaufova really requires full concentration from start to end.

Most adrenaline part of the path when you see the car at parking.

On Sunday we climbed to Skuta via Žmavčarji. The bivouac is really worth admiring, both inside and outside. The weather wasn't worth admiring, but I still continued to Kalški greben and further to Markova Ravni. Staša visited Grintovec meanwhile and picked me up at Kraljev hrib.

Today via Gamsov skret to Skuta. Fog in the valley, above fog proper inversion, hasn't been so hot for a long time... up to 2200 meters, higher it was windy. Path to the bench without peculiarities, snow starts above 2000 meters. To Podi no gaiters needed yet, higher desirable. Snow crusty up to Štruca, towards Skuta summit crampons desirable.... despite wind on top the scenery was magnificent nasmeh
