You won't experience a real sunrise at this time on Slemeno Peak. The sun rises very late here. The morning view of illuminated Jalovec and Ponce is nice. mežikanje

How is the path to Mala Mojstrovka? It doesn't fit here but I'll ask anyway. Is it trampled or are crampons needed...? How much snow is there...? Thanks

Has anyone hiked from Vršič to Slemeno Peak these days? What are the snow conditions?

This afternoon at Slemenova Peak. Little snow on Vršič, to Vratice partly on dry ground. When the path turns into the shadow of Mojstrovka, there is somewhat more snow, about 30 cm. The marked trail is well trodden, so no special gear was needed today. The track was visible also from the Tamar direction, through Grlo.

It's been a long time since anyone wrote about Slemenova Špica. There's still a little snow. Up there it's fun as always. nasmeh

I first stopped at Jasna, where newly whitened hills reflected on the lake surface.

Today was a real winter day on Slemen. First snow patches were already at the path start, at Vratca already about 20 cm. Part of the path further was trodden, then I sank deep. Snow was wet and on top nearly 40 cm.
I returned via the northern path under Mojstrovka. There I watched a group of young foreigners tackling Hanzova in today's poor conditions. They spent more than an hour on preparations and the first few meters.
Below Vratca on the return there were many foreigners on the path (church holiday) and water.

PFranci, you captured a very nice spring combination on Slemen. I'd love to jump up there in the afternoon to take some photos, but what do you think, is the snow still in similar shape? Most likely it's mostly melted already...does anyone have quite fresh info? Thanks.

Hi, has anyone of you perhaps gone along the path through Črne Vode all the way to the top of the gully and not into the forest as marked?
is there perhaps some connecting path from the top of the gully towards the summit?

Today before sunrise to Slemen Peak.
Over Vršič from Trenta in the morning fog was already surging and it was blowing quite strongly, which is a sign of a change in the weather.
On the return, a real invasion of people towards Mojstrovka and Slemen. velik nasmeh
