So this weekend
from Friday to Sunday, maybe even to Monday
I'm going on a trip to the Julian Alps
taking my wife and 3-year-old child
they haven't been there yet
(we've been many times together to Pohorje and Logarska Dolina)
I'm interested in the following
what would you briefly recommend?
we plan to visit some places where even I haven't been
that would be first day Aljažev dom and Vrata valley
second day to Vršič (I've been there)
still don't know where to sleep
Erjavčeva koča, Koča na Gozdu, Tičarjev dom (which opens this Friday)...
we'll see..
if possible go as far as Slemenova špica
and third day either to Rabeljsko jezero
or towards Planica then to Tamar valley and Dom in Tamar...
can't wait

To conclude a wonderful holiday in Mojstrana, today with family we also went to Slemenova Špica, which fascinated us again with wonderful panorama of Mojstrovka, Rateški Ponci, and of course our "Beauty". The path for our youngest is suitable and easy, if we motivate them with some Kekec story and some of his song it's even easier. Today there were lots of families with small kids at Slemenova Špica, no worry for offspring. LP Andrej

On Thursday 6.8. we were at Slemenova Špica. We went up the lower path, back above under the walls of Mala Mojstrovka, where you need to cross two small snowfields, which pose no danger but are interesting for the youngest.

The path is now trodden to the summit, start from the last bend before Vršič very steep upwards. It sinks in though, lots of snow.

I'm interested in the conditions these days or predictions for next weekend on the path to Slemenova špica past Črnih vod or over Grlo from the hut in Tamar. Still snow?
Has anyone walked around there?

No snow over Grlo, unlikely also on the path from Črnih vod over Slatnica.

There wasn't much snow at Čez Grlo even in May, when we skied around there, and there won't be any at Čez Slatnica either. If you're afraid of snow, choose southern aspects of the mountains, where there is guaranteed to be almost none up to Kredarica's height anymore.

Even the Veliki Kot plateau at 2000m below Jalovec has none, so no chance that Vesine have it now in "July" 500m lower.

Nice tour, nice pics, but the last part of viharnik's comment surprises me.
Viharnik, you always trust and bow to great Igor so incredibly that you'd jump even over a wall without hesitation if he gave such advice, but now you've smoothly "overridden" him. 
Igor wrote that the moon would shine for him, not trda predla.

Pics are super... sherpa, don't let viharnik's comment surprise you... he forgot that in mountains on shorter days you take more than just snack and drink... but it bugs only some anyway... that's how he is... many noticed already...
