Then I returned to Zatrnik and also visited Grajska planina. I chose the forest road that a little before Mrzli Studenec turns left into the forest and in half an hour we are at Grajska planina. In the forest there are only two junctions. We always choose the right road and soon arrive at the planina. On the planina there are only three objects. But the planina had a nicer past, as the boards inform us. To Mrzli Studenec I returned past Pokljuška barja. We reach the asphalt road about 800m before Mrzli Studenec.
Here we turn off the main road onto the forest road leading to Grajska planina.1

Today on a beautiful sunny day I decided to find planina Viševnik. Easiest to the planina from planina Pri jezeru. From there less than half an hour to the planina. Well marked. I decided to conquer it from planina Vogar. To Vogar on the marked path starting above Stara Fužina and in one hour at Kosijev railway hut on Vogar. Open on weekends and also for Christmas. They have a new caretaker. At the path junction above the hut, then on the marked path to planina Viševnik. It is long - three hours. Marked. Now with little snow it is traceable. In deeper snow orientation would be difficult. After a good hour and a half we reach the path junction. Left path to Pršivec, right to planina Viševnik. Here we can also drive in summer with a vehicle on the forest road that turns right at planina Zgornji Vogar. Here we also leave the vehicle if we want to go to the hut on Vogar. From here we have half the path through the forest and after an hour's walk we reach a kind of plateau. Below we spot planina Viševnik. Now we just descend on the path to the planina. Here is Bregarjevo shelter, open in summer. On the planina there are several huts more or less renovated. From here I then descended in half an hour to planina Pri jezeru and from there back to Vogar.

If we come by road to Vogar, we first come to Zgornja planina Vogar. I don't know exactly where planina Spodnji Vogar then starts.

I only have a few Fužin pastures left that I haven't seen yet. Only on Vodčni vrh pasture there are huts. I'll go explore Spodnja and Zgornja Grintovica. Jezerce pasture behind Krstenica pasture is actually a meadow without huts. I've never checked out the entire Ovčarije pasture either. All this awaits me next summer.

Also interesting are those in the southern Bohinj mountains: Klom, Pečana, behind Šavnik, under Črna gora, Za Liscem, Osredki, Poljana, Suha ...

I had Osredki pasture planned this year, but it didn't work out. The first three pastures are still unknown to me though.
I visited Planina Suho this year in winter in January, and also a couple of years ago in summer.1
I visited Planina Poljane a year ago.2
At that time I encountered a herd of cows on Planina Poljana.3
I also visited Planina Za Črno goro this year.4
Still slightly wintry Planina Za Liscem this year in April.5
And also this year in July.6

Today on a sunny, warm spring morning from Srednja vas along the road leading to Uskovnica pasture looking for Blatca pasture - at about 900m altitude. I've driven there in summer to Uskovnica before, but when the foliage along the road blocks the view to the left, we just miss it. We drive about fifteen, twenty minutes and we're at the big bend where we can park and go down a short, steep path to Blatca pasture. We actually arrive at the end of the pasture, where the last building of the pasture is. About a hundred meters lower, a bad forest path branches off down - I don't recommend driving down. That's where you'd arrive at the start of the pasture. Well, I parked at that big bend. On the pasture itself there are only a couple of buildings. The pasture looks like a huge meadow or pasture. Looks like they mow it - I don't know. Some buildings seem to be used as holiday cottages. Some are abandoned.

Adding two pastures from the edge of Jelovica namely Vršana pasture and Prihod pasture. On Vršana pasture there are two feeding stations for wild animals, one newer and one older, and ruins, I think of an old shepherd's hut. On Prihod pasture there's a hunting observation post and a hayloft.

Today on a beautiful spring day to Pokljuka to visit three pastures-Kranjska dolina, Zajavornik pasture and Lipanca pasture. All three are grazing pastures. Start is on Pokljuka at Mrzli Studenec, where we turn right onto gravel at the second exit. The first exit leads to Klek pasture. The gravel is currently very potholed. We mustn't spare the car. After about a kilometer we'll spot Kranjska dolina pasture below under the road. If we want to see it, we drive to the start of the path to the pasture and walk around the pleasant pasture. On the pasture there's a large dairy with a barn and another smaller one that looks like a shepherd's hut with a barn. Under that second hut there's even a pond. Then we drive further along the road. We come to a junction where the path to Lipanca pasture starts-right to Medvedova konta, left to Rupa, where left branches the path to Zajavornik pasture. Here at the signboard there's a marked path to the right to Lipanca pasture. It's somehow the most convenient and almost not steep. Unfortunately, soon at the beginning it's a bit harder to pass due to logging-consequence of last year's ice storm. We can continue another km to the partisan monument, where a quite steep path turns right to Lipanca pasture. In between we come across a nice forest road coming from Rudno polje. We can go along it for about two km and then a nice marked path to the right leads us to Lipanca pasture. At the end of the path we see the pasture from above. If we went that way we'd extend the path by an hour. But it's worth it if we want to see primrose meadows. On Zajavornik pasture there's an open-type shepherd's hut with a cheese dairy-point on the Cheese Trail. On Lipanca there's also a shepherd's hut where they serve in summer during grazing season. Next to it of course is the mountain hut on Lipanca, open almost all year-round-run by PD Bled-also in winter.

Branko!
Have you perhaps already checked and found out since when and why everyone recently calls the pasture between Goreljek and Lipanca Zajavornik and not Javornik?
Tine Mihelič calls it Javornik in the guide Julijske Alpe, PZS 1992, likewise in the guide Julijske Alpe, Bohinjske gore, Sidarta 1995; the same name is also written by Mojca Stritar in Pustolovskem vodniku Bled in Bohinj, Kibuba 2009. Pasture Javornik is listed on all maps I have: Julijske Alpe, eastern part, 1:50000, PZS 1981 and PZS second edition 1996, Triglav 1:25000, PZS 1993 and Triglav 1:25000, Sidarta 2013. The portal Geopedija.si also records the pasture as Javornik.
About this naming I debated in winter also with the keeper of the Bled hut on Lipanca, who also didn't have the right answer.

Yesterday somehow after work to Zelenica and visit Smokuška pasture. We reach it in just over twenty minutes from the hut on Zelenica. Here under Pungart the stream Završnica springs and right at this spring stands the hut at the spring of Završnica. Pungart is the southwestern end of the Begunjščica ridge, which ends lower down with Roblek-here is the known Roblekova hut. The hut at the spring of Završnica stream was made from a former guard post. Of course they thoroughly rebuilt the former guard post. In summer it's open permanently. They take exemplary care of the hut-they renovated it last year too. This is Smokuška pasture. It's a grazing pasture and in summer we'll meet a herd of cattle here. They fenced the spring last year. True, the snow knocked down some of the fence. It's pleasant to sit right by the spring on the bench. The hut has tables and benches outside. If I'm on Zelenica I always go at least this far. On the pasture there's a new large tamar-hlev. A bit lower a nice holiday cottage. I don't know if there's any building even lower. From here Srednji vrh and Vrtača are nicely visible.

For that day I didn't have enough wandering yet. I drove to Tržič and through Dolžanovo gorge towards Jelendol. After Jelendol then to the right on that famous potholed macadam to planina Pungart. Now it still goes somehow -in summer the road turns into small jumping ramps. The car really mustn't be pitied. I had never visited the planina itself, I drove past it about a year ago, when I drove to planina Šijo and from there went to Kladivo. Leave the car at the end of the road, which brings us in a few minutes to the nice shepherd's hut with a large barn. This is a large grazing planina. It is fenced and thus borders the neighboring Šijo and Tegoška planina. The shepherd's hut is open throughout the grazing season. I walked around the entire planina. It has really extensive and beautiful pastures. In this area from Kofce it is somehow the most extensive. Pictures follow in the afternoon.

I continued to Tegoška planina. The marked path leads across the pasture. We come to the gate, which is the entrance to the planina. Both planinas are also separated by fences. This path then continues along the upper part of the planina to Spodnja Dolga Njiva planina and then to Zgornja Dolga Njiva. To the planina or to the planšarija we simply descend down the pasture. There is also a road leading to the planšarija. The planšarija is large, no barn in sight. Nothing says it's open type. Next to it there seems to be another nice recreational building. The pastures of the planina are not as nice as on Pungart planina. Waters rush down from the mountains to the pastures, which have made some kind of gullies over the years, which of course are overgrown.

Yesterday to the new Bohinj planina - Osredki. It is located on the lower Bohinj mountains. There are several accesses. The most common is along the upper beautiful forest road - which is quite long, starting behind the village Nemški Rovt on the right side towards Soriska Planina. We drive past planinas Vresje and Strmna and also past two turnoffs to the right to planina Za Liscem, where Orožnova hut is. Then follows another access to planina Lisec, the last one is for planina Osredki and soon we are at the planina. We can even drive here. To the planina we walk through the forest. The planina won't particularly enchant us. Here there are only two shepherd's huts squeezed tightly together. The huts are wooden. One is even renovated with a chimney. It has a latch on the door. The other is in worse condition. The door looks like someone tried to push it inwards but didn't succeed - it's slightly pushed inwards. It was written that one can even shelter in one of these huts - nothing looks like it. Under the huts, where there used to be cattle yards, is full of junk from retired gašperček to blue ones. Behind the huts is a small pond that once served for watering livestock. This hasn't been a grazing planina for a long time and is partially overgrown.

We also reach the planina from Črna Prst as I arrived at the planina. Soon from the hut on Črna Prst we come to signposts that direct us downwards to Lisec. At the saddle below we turn left on the marked quite overgrown path to the planina.
Here you turn from Črna prst towards planina Osredki.1

Yesterday to Mačenska planina. It's not quite ours, Carinthians already in Austria next to Celovška hut. From the valley a nice macadam road leads up. It's quite populated - several buildings. In summer they graze here. A stream flows next - there is plenty of water. We can reach it from Zelenica, over the Beljščica saddle, where the state border is.

Today I finally visit planina Koren. Planina Koren is located in the Krvavec area. It is one of its six planinas. We can reach it easily from Kriška planina. We park of course at the large parking lot at planina Jezerce. We also reach the planina from Kamniška Bistrica. They graze on the planina, but today I didn't see livestock. I did see a herd of cattle at the hunting hut before planina Koren. On the planina they built a new mountain hut a couple of years ago. At this spot there were ruins of the old hut. The old settlement was at the beginning of the planina - remnants are still visible today. There is water on the planina. They even have a trough for watering livestock. Today I didn't see the hut open. But the owner must have been nearby, because smoke was coming from the chimney, the hut even has a sign koča Koren. I don't know if it's open type.

The second one today was planina Košutna. We reach the planina via planina Koren. Over the scree we climb along a few fixed cables over the rocks and very soon we are at the planina. On the planina we see a wooden chapel, which they built in memory of a young man who was buried here by an avalanche. Next to the chapel stands the shepherd's house. Today the planina had a lot of visitors because there was a mass at the chapel. No livestock was noticeable.

I haven't photographed any new planina in the true sense for a long time. This time I went to Komna and visited planina Govnač. I've been here several times. This time I visited it at just the right time and the pictures prove that this planina on Komna is still very much alive. A large herd of cattle grazes up there and water is well provided for. Otherwise I don't know which grazing community the planina belongs to. I can only praise it. Signposts at Dom na Komni direct us to it. In a good half hour we are already at the planina. Somewhere in the middle of the path the trail splits into lower and upper. This time I took the lower one. Above the planina a gate stops us and we immediately realize it will be a grazing planina. Although I've been here many times, I've never encountered livestock. Already at the gate we spot a quite extensive planina. In the foreground on the left side of the planina we see large ruins whose top is crowned by the ruins of a large officers' home. Here during WWI there was a large military post of the Austro-Hungarian army. It served as a kind of rest area for military units fighting on the Krn battlefield. A panel in front of these ruins informs us about this. There were quite a few masonry buildings. They could house quite a few soldiers. They even had a chapel. They were also supplied with water, as evidenced by the still active spring at the right end of the planina, where this water is captured for livestock. But currently it flows rather poorly. This planina is the starting point for a tour to nearby peaks - Veliki and Mali Bogatin, Kuk. One can also go further towards Vogel - I've done that. To the nearer Veliki Bogatin or Mahavšček there are three paths - on the shortcut a couple of years ago I didn't get anywhere, there are two marked paths - one turns immediately steep, the other runs across the planina on a comfortable mule track and joins the steep one at the top. The marked path is supposed to lead further to the hut Pod Bogatinom, but I didn't find it - seems little walked and overgrown. Currently the planina is clad in colorful splendor of alpine flowers. There is a lot of yellow gentian, better known as košutnik - roots used for medicinal bitters. Let me warn that the flower is protected.
