Has anyone been to Smrekovec from Beli Vodi in the last few days? Interested in the condition of the road to the starting point and the hiking trail onwards?

Yesterday the road to Brložnik was normally drivable.
Footpath without issues. Some had "those small" crampons on the snow, but it goes without them too.
Views were great, but some northern wind in between. Huge crowds.

Sleme-Smrekovško pogorje-Loka
As part of K-24, we hiked this route from Saturday to Sunday. In the beautiful clear night it carried us towards the hut on Smrekovec, where we had arranged with Tom for hot food. (Tomo is also a member of club -24), He has served me several times in the little "funny" hour. After Tuesday's scouting trip, I noticed some new snow, so at least it was white, winter-like. Along the ridge to Loka mostly dry trail, but quickly around the "bend" at certain spots, there are places with more snow and some ice. (Komen Hlipovje, Travnik, Bela peč, Planina Vodul-Javorje.) On the pasture, wind felled a mighty tree across the path. Otherwise, no issues.

LOKA SMREKOVŠKO POGORJE SLEME
This time the weather was as forecast. Rainy and foggy. Lots of hikers at Loka who lacked the will or "courage" to leave the cozy hut. After hot tea, we set off towards Planina Javorje. Fog and rain allowed a view only underfoot. That wasn't for Aleš and Davor, as it was their first time here. At Travnik we visit the open hut. At Komna I meet Mislinja friends led by Tovšak. Near the hut the sun finally breaks through. At the hut we refuel well with a hot meal (Tomo serves us quickly). On the nicest part of the trail (Statnekov) summit. A short thunderstorm forces us to hurry.

Janezs; your hike from Loka to Smrekovec only in good weather is "pure poetry"; too bad the weather didn't let you experience all the beauties on this trail. Repeat it on a nice sunny day; you won't regret it.
Small note; the pasture is named Vodole.

Does anyone have info on conditions on Smrekovec? Which approaches are trodden, how far is it trodden onwards across the plateau towards Komna,... ?

I have info that from Berložnik the path is now nicely trodden. I'm also interested about onwards towards Komna.

Dleskovec, I could write a lot to you about this path or rather about the whole K-24 loop. (winter and summer in all months, halves about cleaning and marking this path. Names of pastures and other areas. Winter tracks that I have hiked myself, Smrekovec, Olševa-Peca, Z Uršlo, also Raduha-Loka was no problem. Grohat-Raduha is another story ITD. LP. Janez
Behind me 54 laps walked K-24 Once even 2x 10,000 vertical meters, 170 km, without rest or sleep 45.44 h.

Take snowshoes with you, if it's not trodden you won't have a problem. I'd bet that Kot 20 years ago every winter to Komna was churned up, ridden with sleds.

So, the path from Smrekovec to Komen is... mostly ridden (with snowmobiles), in places hard, in places the snow grinds under your feet, in places it sinks ca 20cm

Would anyone share info on how it is this year with blueberries on Smrekovec?
Around Lovrenc Lakes you can eat plenty of them, under Olševa very scarce.

21.07. crossed Smrekovec, quite some blueberries, some ripe, some red and some still green, some frozen though. Weather great, met only four people. Lp!

Smrekovec ridge, Loka-Sleme.
At Loka we couldn't go further without drinking and refilling drinks, at the same time properly shortening the nice tomcat named Blaž. Path continues on nice carpet first across grazing pastures, then vast forests. Sun was heating quite a lot. After several hours walk we descend to hut at Smrekovec where Damjan waited for us. Short refreshment and continue to ridge.
