Even more than that no one cleans poop from summits and removes gravel from paths, what bothers me is that above approx.1500m there's no trees and I have to walk in the sun, then I'm all sunburned!

The lack of trees issue seems serious to me and someone, I presume government or ministry of agriculture, should do something about it!

I agree. Last time returning through the valley for shade to the valley, suddenly the sun shines uncomfortably on me, no trees, no umbrella rentals either.

I wonder where our country is sinking to.

Damn you're modest. A decent restaurant, min 3 courses + dessert + ice cream. Next to it make a big garden so vegans choose what to eat, and even sheep manure for fertilizer. Just don't know if vegans will eat that, since manure is animal origin.

On Wednesday in cloudy weather from Laško past the Partisan hospital Košuta to Dom na Kališču, where we overnighted. We woke to a beautiful morning nasmeh

Today after a long time back on the house mountain. From Mač via Kališče and towards the summit. In the upper part I spiced up the tour with crossing to the eastern slope/ridge, where it was really fun to the top. Still had to grab a bit (I). The weather was finger-licking good. nasmeh

Has anyone been to Storžič after the last snowfall - from Kališče? Is there still any snow somewhere?

I was there on Sunday, 7.9.; there was just a sample of snow. It melted by noon.

Yesterday to Storžič from Mač via mountain hut at Kališče.
Path without features. Surprisingly few hikers on the way, at summit quite crowded as ascending from all sides.
Nice day, fun company and for a change jump from "our" Julians.

Today I was up there. Kanonir-Bašelj saddle-Storžič-Bašelj peak-Mali Grintovec-Middle peak-Cjanovca and back the same way. Weather gorgeous, no cloud, view very nice. First part a bit problematic as road fully muddy from timber hauling - need to detour a bit through forest. I praise the markers for the new marked path, very nicely signposted. New also three cables on that rocky part, now easing mainly the descent. Day good for extending the tour so I circled a bit the eastern part of Storžič group. At the top Ovčji skret already dried mežikanje
