Metod, on the 19th picture is "ptarmigan" or also "snow grouse". It has already changed feather color to "summer". Otherwise it's a protected species. Too bad you didn't get it closer - you'd see white belly

Hello!
I went down over Škarjev rob on Saturday at 9am.
Snow patches total still about 5-6. Some can perhaps be partially avoided. The longest and steepest is the snow patch in the hole (where the ropes are). Had low shoes, used micro crampons and ice axe. Wouldn't go without.

Yesterday from Mač to Storžič, views were more scarce but therefore not so hot. Met quite a few mountaineers, season is starting

Dom pod Storžičem - Storžič
Great trail, first time hiked. But surprised me at the summit. Sheep have free access to the top and everything is covered in shit. Sheep droppings, unpleasant smell, flies everywhere... A clothespin for the nose comes in handy. Somewhat spoils the satisfaction of successful ascent and admiring the wider area. Next ascent probably winter.

Oh that's really horror!! God forbid we then go to some mountain where cows graze. There are way more cows than sheep on Storžič summit, more flies too, and even bigger droppings.
