In Italy there is some law that after 30 years of "use" it no longer belongs to the former owner, as if he forgot about it. And from 1999 on, no need to go even to war. I'm not a lawyer, but probably in Slovenia no such option. Well, pity if so many years of work are lost. Maybe the agrarian community really thinks how it would go and what it gets. How much money has already gone to court? Maybe they could have already built a new one. Yeah, poor lawyers wouldn't earn, no...

Because Planica Nordic center is being built, the state should better plan the Tamar valley as a whole.
It will be quite strange when at the end of the valley not even with ski trails by the private property code of the current agrarian community one can turn around.
Secondly, Tamar is strategically important for all mountaineering branches summer and winter, for foreign and our visitors assuming a person from distant places cannot plan ascents, go rest, sleep and get a hot meal. Such things where with outdated legal proofs someone acquires ownership in TNP are really strange and bizarre attitude to the hut and traditional excellent space. Could at least agree on land swap elsewhere or monetary compensation for Tamar land. There anyway due to exposed north position no good pasture, veggies grow well only to Bled.
We'll see, said the blind.

Not that bad. We were up during holidays. Service was quite correct, tea with rum excellent and nicely served. They don't overdo friendliness, but not unfriendly either. People are different, right... zavijanje z očmi

I was up for New Year with the group, we haven't seen such unfriendly people in mountains yet.

I also visited Tamar Hut. Service correct but everything else negative. Sad!

I have very good experiences with the staff of this hut. I don't go there often, but whenever I've been, I've always been served friendly. I was especially nicely surprised last year when I forgot hiking poles under Jalovec above Jezerca and a good guy brought them down to the hut. When I came later to pick them up, we chatted friendly over a drink. Otherwise I get along well with mountain hut staff, both here and abroad. One needs to know these people give of themselves from early morning to late evening, they can have a "bad day" sometimes, and that's why mutual understanding and respect is needed.

Today very nice walk through Tamar valley, morning very cold, nature wonderful after fresh snow, afternoon very many visitors. Service in hut very fast, despite large crowd. Nice regards

@skala123, fully agree. Just the warden "whined" about male strength, cos apparently it "gets lost" every now and then. But right then he was clearing tables for guests. Service, by my standards very solid. So don't know what criteria some have on this forum. nasmehnasmehnasmeh

I too usually feel in Tamar that they'd rather have only wardens in the hut. Not saying service isn't correct, but too often there's some comment or just mimicry that's unnecessary.

My opinion is that mountain huts aren't restaurants and as we know usually much more burdened than in valley...but whenever I stop somewhere I get what I want, sometimes with friendly word, gesture sometimes casually..

Why doesn't anybody ask: am I friendly to the warden? We are all impatient and grumble about the crowd and whatever else. Most likely everyone would react the same in their skin. Unfortunately it's still true that a nice word finds a nice place. mežikanje

What about Jesenice? How much snow fell these days?

In Jesenice, it was quite cold these days, so about less than 10cm of fluffy dry powder fell these days. I think higher in the valley not much different, maybe a cm more. But maybe tomorrow new load coming, check weather yourselfvelik nasmeh.
