Toll booths on Vršič and in Vrata

Last week I heard on the radio how the system is supposed to work. As I kinda understood, for now the parking system on Vršič is not linked to the lowering of cars down to KG through barriers, where you're supposed to get the ticket. In that case the question remains open for me, what to do at the top if there's no parking, but you arrive with a parking ticket. It seemed totally illogical to me that no one even asked about it. In the end one of those presenting and praising the system just said, if it jams, they'll have to connect the parking system with the entry at barriers. Hellooo? Only then? Isn't that basic? And that's totally amateurish for my taste. They can't even present the system in all details in the presentation, let alone it working properly.

The essence is cashing in on parking fees (municipal revenue), not in parking and traffic management.

The problem is also that below the ramp there are other starting points that have nothing to do with parking on Vršič. It would really be necessary to check if these ramps in Vrata and Vršič even have legal basis. This is just for ,,cashing in,, cash and nothing else.....and soon only ,,rich,, will hike to mountains, because everyone will start doing the same....I'm afraid!!!!!

Maybe someone knows how parking will look during the regime and outside it e.g. at Ruski križ (2nd hairpin from Jasna KG) where if you were early it was understandable for serious long tours to park roadside opposite the embankment without payment? Thanks. Sad really.

Ramps at trailheads for hiking paths, abnormally high parking fees.... inaccessibility for overnight stays in mountain huts for local hikers despite the proposal to allocate half the mountain hut to local hikers, half to tourists they invite via
tourist agencies - this proposal was of course not accepted, where does such PZS behavior lead?

If I understand this 24ur article correctly, then elsewhere except the pass itself where payment is needed, parking will proceed as before. So it will still be possible to park free at Ruski križ, but you must take a transit ticket.
If I'm wrong, someone correct me

Barriers at Vršič are "state project" - from Pišnica to Zadnja Trenta. It is naive to expect they will limit themselves to just the pass top. For that no barriers were needed. Where and what will be paid depends on state policy and especially public pressure on policy.

Who gives them the right to block the road with a barrier for whose use I have paid the annual fee?! They have every right to collect parking fees at designated parking spots, even free hands regarding the fee amount, but to put a ramp on the main road from Gorenjska to Primorska and hinder my journey with that is, in my opinion, contrary to common sense and very likely also to some law and regulation.

Strange that right here no thugs or villains are found who would disable these barriers. On railway tracks they can place stones (rocks) or disable signals, where really huge damage can be done, even in human lives. We don't know how to resist such measures. As far as I know, in 1991 we only had the question whether we are for independent Slovenia or secession. Nothing else!

Just today I drove to Erjavčeva koča, where the parking fee of 15 Eur surprised me, and no one gets upset, the hut is owned by PZS.

I think at Erjavčeva koča they managed to avoid criticism because they initially set roughly reasonable prices (1 EUR per hour, 10 per day), then quietly raised them later. On their website I can't find the current price at all (but I know I last paid more than 10 eur for less than a day), but there's still the post with the old price

They have such a system that you pay in advance, so if you don't know exactly how many hours you'll hike, you usually pay for more than you actually park.
