Today to Tosc. At Rudno polje already "pleasant" 20 degrees in the morning. Ascent to Studorski preval and then through bushes towards VDV. After about 100m altitude I leave the path leading to the summit and continue left somewhat exposed on steep wet grass towards Tosc. Steep climb to the foot of the south wall, then pleasant scrambling direct to the top. Descent via normal route. Regards

Pokljuka-Vodnikov dom-Bohinjska vratca and off-trail to Tosc. Late afternoon ascent. It was warm, almost not hot. Met quite a few returning. No wind. Past Vodnikov dom and up to Bohinjska vratca. Off-trail starts with climbing right, then slightly left almost to the edge, where I traverse a ledge right. A bit more up and then mostly climb slightly right. So as not to exit off-trail too soon, I climbed the last part left. On top sheep awaited me, no wind, warm and sat without jacket no problem. Stayed up there a while, then descended slowly, met two below Tosc. Then all the way to Pokljuka no one else, pleasant walk in evening cool, silence, peace, and even chamois appeared.

Where did you start? Via planina Konjščica?

On Tosc there's probably not much annoying snow left? I mean on the southern side...

Snow is no problem, even if there is some, if you go from Pokljuka, the last part of the path to Studorski pass (from the junction to Srenjski pass) is more or less completely snow-free. Here and there it's still there further on. Today at the place where the "pathless" to Tosc branches off it was all yellow from flowers, higher up blue from gentians. Nice, nice...

The question doesn't refer directly to Tosc but I'll try anyway if someone can answer. I'm interested in the path from Studorski to Srenjski pass. As far as I got the impression, there is a path that goes under both Draški peaks. Am I right? Is the path sufficiently traceable? What about from Studorski pass - is it visible where to go? I assume it turns towards Veliki Draški vrh and then somewhere the path branches off to the pass. I was thinking of going from Tosc over Viševnik back to Rudno polje. But I wouldn't go to Veliki (and/or Mali) Draški vrh, because there will be a dog with me, so the path must be easy. I'll be glad for any guidance

I think Tatana means the path that doesn't descend to Jezerca, but crosses via the saddle between VDV and MDV along the slopes of VDV and MDV. This path under MDV is more demanding, exposed and there are also some wire ropes on it. The path is marked and traceable, but not quite easy, probably it depends from one dog to another if it's suitable for it. The path from Studorski pass that descends to Jezerca and then ascends to Srenjski pass is an easy path.

Thanks djimuzl for the pics. As jbs already mentioned, I really had the other path in mind (i.e. the traversing path). Then I found some descriptions myself and saw that the path is probably too demanding for the dog. But I have another question - can I take this path (so from Studorski pass traversing to the saddle between VDV and MDV) and then descend towards Jezerca, avoiding this more demanding section? Years ago I went something like that from VDV - along the path right to somewhere at the saddle, then the track descended towards Jezerca or joined the path from Jezerca to Srenjski pass. So I wouldn't need to descend all the way to Jezerca, while avoiding the tougher part under MDV. Am I picturing it right and is it doable?

Yes, there is an unmarked but well traceable little path from the saddle between the two DV that doesn't descend all the way to Jezerca, so you save a bit of the path.

I've never walked this path myself, but (at least) it exists on the map.
