Turski žleb is passable without crampons... Just be careful and hug the wall a bit and it goes nicely through.

During my visit there was only one snowfield in Boštjanci (pic. 39), which is certainly gone now, as it was just a thin layer of snow back then.

Two days ago I went in the opposite direction... In Kotliči there's still one snowfield which can be bypassed without problems... Good luck!

Nice greeting, did the path through the gully yesterday 27.6.2020. No winter gear needed for the path, no ice axe, no crampons. Altogether you step 1m on snow. Weather excellent, lots of people on all peaks. Protections OK. But watch out 30m before the end of the new cable, there are some rocks waiting to tumble down.

Today from Jermanca to Kamniško sedlo via Kotliči to Turska gora and back. Snowfield in Boštjanci easily bypassed. Otherwise path without special features. Helmet mandatory. Non-stop stones flying from Brana and Turska. Two chamois sent me extra dose of pebbles to helmet as thanks for photos and only one to knee.

Yesterday did circular Turkish gully - Turska gora - Kotliči. As predecessors wrote, path completely dry.

Friday 31.7.2020
Since legs from Tuesday's sunrise on Grintovec were still tired, and since I really haven't gone from Kamniška Bistrica to Kamniško sedlo for ages, I said go early and back early. 
Start at 4.00 from home in Kamniška Bistrica classic towards Kamniško sedlo. Muggy in forest didn't ease till shepherds, could squeeze me out. At 6.00 saddle quiet, radio discreetly playing, sun coloring day, first Turska gora and Rinke. Puffing to Brana didn't know Turska gora would pull me most. Snacking on Brana, happy eager guy arrived summit, quick words and bye! Said friend waiting below, going further over Kotliči to Turska! That was it! Like pulled me whispering to visit. Funny huh? Yes, mountains not ours, we theirs, mountains take us! Hopped over Kotliči with joy, every effort joyful. Full of flowers. To Turska gora top (9.00) first hikers from gully arrived with me. Satisfied sat on beautiful peak. Gaze to Žmavčarje, anticipating descent. Time flies weather doesn't ask, to valley and KB beer. Was nice!
Bivouac under Skuta good condition, cleaned, good doors close.
Path Kamniška Bistrica - Kamniško sedlo well maintained passable.
Kamniško sedlo - Brana no issues.
Over Kotliči passable.
To bivouac under Skuta and over Žmavčarje all ok!

Last Sunday my partner and I had a more mountain-running flavored tour to Brana via Kamnik Saddle and the idea for this weekend popped up. So on Saturday after we got lucky with parking at the end of Logarska Dolina, we headed to Turski Žleb. Crowd to the waterfall then further okay. Some hikers already ahead of us. Quite a few visitors on top of Turkish Mountain too. Descent via Kotliče to Kamnik Saddle. After stop and snack in the hut we returned via Okrešelj to start. Weather great. Mists rising from south but nothing bad.
Very nice, well protected tour. Bit more demanding but no issues just the last climb to Kamnik Saddle. Real enjoyment.

Hi!
I've been going to the mountains more intensively for 2 years now and I've been to Ojstrica (via Mala Ojstrica), Brana, Planjava, Storžič... maybe elsewhere on some of these demanding routes.
Also did a via ferrata course, did the difficult Mojstrana ferrata and Hvadnik ferrata. Wondering: is Turkish Mountain via Turski žleb up and down via Kotliče suitable for me yet?
It's been pulling me up there hard for a long time, especially heard it's quite adrenaline filled (usually exposed parts are pure pleasure for me), but want to check and hear others' opinions.

Manja, the path through Turski žleb seemed easier to me than the "red" one in Mojstrana. Also the idea to descend via Kotliče saddle and Kamniško saddle is good. Descending Turski žleb isn't the most pleasant.
