redbull, but pics aren't from yesterday, there were rinks where I was yesterday too, or all peaks above cca 2200m in fog.

I wonder if going via the hunter's path to Ledine and the climbing path to Baba and down to Jenkova planina, crampons and ice axe are mandatory, or if the path is dry. I would go tomorrow. lp

You don't need crampons and ice axe, gaiters would come in handy though....

When there is snow on the path you need to have crampons and ice axe with you.

of course you have them with you, but in such conditions crampons you sure wouldn't put on,, with ice axe I helped myself,, even though you don't need it, just for easier walking

Here, I went via Slovenian to Ledine and climbing to Baba... awesome, weather idyllic, no cloud, no wind... down to Jenkovo planina and to Krničar for beer. According to the book, no one on Baba since Saturday, conditions as described by predecessors, i.e. dry, here and there some snow that doesn't cause problems. From 8am to 2pm didn't meet a single soul ))

Well, I finally got to know you. I was on this climbing, better said scrambling, at the end of June last year first time and it thrilled me. Via Austrian side and from Jenkovo planina already many times before. This year I'll go again from Jenkovo. At Krničar I haven't been yet - looks fine. Best regards.

I too yesterday in this area. Did same tour as jannika. From Ledine some easy but still annoying snow patches and some annoying scree. Wire ropes ahead also not in gleaming condition... For mentioned circular tour exactly 4 hours. Good training tour that offers almost everything. Regards!

Today I was also on Velika Baba from Jezersko. Up Slovenian to Ledine then climbing to summit, return over climbing and hunters'. Some snow patches on path but doable without ice axe use.

We help each other well with conditions, I surely wouldn't go if no one posted current conditions, but since user @jannika wrote conditions the ascent interested me right away, same for Špik, predecessors posted conditions, thanks all mood is better because you know tour is doable with proper gear.

I'd ask if according to what was said it means climbing path to Velika Baba can be done without ice axe and crampons, but how on path below Ledinski vrh and to Jezersko sedlo? For difficulty please comparison of climbing path with paths e.g. to Rinke from Jezersko or Turski žleb? Is Kranjska koča open? Thanks for answer.

My humble opinion is that Velika Baba from Ledin via climbing route is more demanding than Rink likewise from there, and also more dangerous due to occasional falling rocks. I've already climbed both, but not Turski žleb yet.

janez.novak@ if you check the post above yours, you'll get answer regarding Baba. To Križ is in my opinion definitely harder route than via Turski žleb. Both require quite some fitness. Personally I liked the path from Mrzli dol to Križ and then back via Turski žleb. It's true though that in upper part of Turski žleb you'll need both (ice axe and crampons).
