You know Jovan, now that NC is nicely bolted it's really a nice route, but by no means "a little joke". 20 years ago, when you had to place gear on the fly, many who climb it now would have turned back.

Today after some years I decided to repeat the path over Jenkova planina and along the ridge to Baba. The path seems to me quite an adrenaline rush. On it I noticed only one bolt. From the top I descended on the Austrian side to Jezersko sedlo and on the way also to Ledinski vrh. From there a great view of Storžek. I've had it in mind so many times. This was followed by a descent almost to Savinjsko sedlo, where the path to the Bela valley is visible. There I spotted Austrian markings and soon also the cable leading to Storžek. The path is well secured, only one cable is damaged somewhere (only one wire, where I cut myself). Caution. No stamp on the top, but nice views. Then descent to Ledin and via hunter's path to the valley. Praise to the markers. Despite not the best weather, quite a nice day.

Yesterday I was on Velika Baba and Mrzla gora. Ascent from Ravenska Kočna via climbing path to Baba, then to Mrzli dol and Mrzla gora. Descent to Ravenska Kočna. Whole path nicely marked, to Baba well secured, for Mrzla gora we know there are few marks and protections, but very exposed, so constant concentration and searching optimal passages needed. Upper part of path to Baba quite strenuous (steep and smooth slope - good there are cables). Views from both peaks to northern walls of KSA (from Storžič to Raduha) were divine. Mention also the nicely arranged hunters path to Ledine and on descent via this path shortcut to Davo Karničar - nicely marked forest trail that brings you straight to the new parking.

On Saturday the plan was to first reach Kranjska koča via slovenska pot and then decide to go to Baba or Rinke. But we went to Baba. Part of the path from hut to main wall is quite crumbly. Whole way we went by principle minimal touching cables and bolts, but especially proud that both managed the first part of that steep wall without. We had SV, but didn't need it, as swinging would only hinder. Summit full of hikers, we crowded nicely up there. Views super and cloudless  . Back we went over Jenkova planina, that ridge is really awesome, I liked it  . Really nice tour, views along the whole path divine, one would stay there  .

Tonika, we met a little before the bivouac below Savinjsko sedlo, the weather on Baba for us was completely different... fog and complete calm, only wet were probably all who came up there today :-)

Yes, it was really interesting to observe nature's play, weather conditions changed really quickly. That's how it is, sun shines after fog and vice versa. Lp

I too was up here today... To Ledine via Žrel and then further on the climbing path. I have to admit, of all climbed so far, this was physically the most demanding for me, mainly that pulling upwards with hands But I won and was rewarded on top with beautiful views.

Congrats. I tried to hold the cable as little as possible in the vertical, so I felt no physical effort at all. The rock is dry and firm so the boot holds.

Looks like many of us were on Velika Baba today. It wasn't visible in the logbook. I went from Jezersko via the Slovenian route to Ledine, then on a very demanding path (at least so defined) to Velika Baba. I have to admit it wasn't easy, I really sweated. Back I went via Jenkova planina. In the first part the path isn't exactly easy, especially downhill; it's one big scramble. Otherwise only hands and feet (and poles) are used.
Today was an ideal day for the mountains.

There are no special features on the path. Only in the gully on the way to the Ledine hut there is a lot of falling stones, so I recommend the Slovenian or Shepherd's path.
