Isn't it really interesting how much trash you find in various caves and sinkholes on Velika Planina? Various old piskri and building material that tourists surely hauled up there, whom locals say are the worst polluters of the planina.

Yesterday I woke up to the first real snow, which we also got in the valley. I pulled the gojzarje from the closet, tossed an extra shirt in the backpack, and was already enjoying the untouched winter whiteness. Up to Primož it was still dripping from the trees, higher only from the twigs I touched. No wind, cold, or precipitation; the sun hinted at its location a few times. At Črnuški dom I drank the best tea and went back the same way, since the cable car should start operating next month. My footprints in the snow got company; obviously quite a few of my like-minded people who also enjoy nature.

Velika Planina is starting to get, at least for me, a very nice makeover. Too bad that yesterday the fog hid the sun so soon.

No problem, Lino. These are short distances where weather almost never affects the execution.
But you have someone on the other side who in super weather on top of the hill drinks a beer, takes a selfie and rejects all the pleasures that the mountain offers to most visitors.

Today it was cold on Velika Planina, but nice .
No snow to Primož, quite little from there to Mickina Bajta, then quantity rises quickly (temps drop just as fast!). Pasje Pečine passable, many hikers already went through.
Snow completely soft, partly drifted, but still very demanding for walking. Probably today's visitors trod paths well, so walking easier now

After more than three months, they finally put the cable car back into operation today. Despite slightly worse weather conditions, I went to check, and yes, at 12:02 we're already slicing through the air on the new, safe load-bearing rope.
At Calcit at half past eight at positive temperature and this time for a change in boots past Primož, Micka's shack, where the snow starts, over Pirčev vrh to Jarški dom. Except for rabbit tracks, no fresh footprints anywhere. Same on the Planina, where I only run into three people at the upper chairlift station who wanted to interview me. No chance, I'm rushing to the cable car and the camera and mic went hungry .
Snow as much as there used to be in May sometimes, the sun peeked out just a few times, no frost. Despite two minutes delay, I still caught the bus and at 12:20 at Teran I was already grinding a cold beer

Well, to somehow ease the three-month abstinence from visiting Gradišče, it pulled me up again today like a magnet. The sun already at the start pours extra strength into me, despite the strenuous Sunday race I'm doing quite well. No hikers, although conditions are great for walking. Just for a short time I comfortably settle on the bench in front of Jarški, as the winter cable car schedule urges me on. Conditions on the hill completely different from Friday, with spring temperatures the whiteness will completely disappear by the weekend. But I laughed at the tracks of snowshoes, someone was practicing walking with them at four centimeters of snow. The GRS guys were testing the little board, how it performs allerad in snowy slope.
There were three of us in the cable car, two in the bus.

Good thinking. When I enlarge the picture, I see you're right. Only the windows with flags have those circles.
I have to remind the boss at the next visit to put flags on the remaining windows too.
