Otherwise, in the Krivčevo settlement right after the little bridge, turn left, go a few hundred meters on asphalt then on gravel, and you arrive directly at Kranjski Rak.
But the last 100 m of the road are very steep and might be in worse condition.

Franca, this detour from the Črnivec pass over Kašna Planina is very nice, interesting. The forest road is nicely laid out without any problematic climbs and descents. You also won't get stuck with the car anywhere.
Grega z brega, your shortcut variant is more problematic. Down there is a sign for closed direction or prohibited direction. And there is a warning something like "only local access" or "only for owners". I don't know the path difficulty, as I turned back at the start.

Yeah probably because of the part right below the summit, which is really very steep.
That one from France sounds much better, haven't been there yet.
Going tomorrow by bike to check it out.

Some snapshots from Saturday's "walk" to Velika Planina.
Started at the lower station of the cable car (currently not operating), where the sign nicely directs you to the right path but already at the next intersection you start wondering where now, since marks and signposts disappear.  It continues similarly at the next couple of intersections with road and forest paths when with more luck than brains I finally spot the second directional sign. This part really should be marked better!!! Stuck to the forest road, which after cca. 1 km walking starts descending slightly, it takes you to the junction with sign saying to top of VP still 2:45. From here no navigation issues. Path is (to Planina Dol) steep sure but not demanding. In wet can be slippery like any other. When leaving Planina Dol, where it says to VP still 1:15 (come on say 45 min really) it steepens a bit more then you're at Planina Konjščica, where peaks of Kamnik-Savinja Alps first show. Then just pure enjoyment ...

Tinky and Todi, really nice and enjoyable day on Velika and Mala Planina. There were as many visitors as if it were a workday and not a free Saturday. Lp!

@Tinky: wouldn't know where else to find such Merc coffee at that price. In foggy valley and long shopping centers surely not. But up here with nice views while drinking such coffee you feel like god, eh

Only the price of coffee with milk at Blejska koča on Lipanca bothers me, 2.5 euros.

Boštjan, if I understand correctly, Tinky praised the price and the coffee at Jarški dom on Mali planina. But doesn't agree with the above-standard price at Blejska koča on Lipanci. Lp!

Well, yeah, I meant at Mareta on Jerški there's a fair price for such a measure, over two is already a bit high.
