Today I decided for Veliki Rogatec. Start at 7.50h at Črnivec via Kašna planina and Lepenatka to Rogatec summit. The path from bivouac to summit is very demanding, as written on direction signs. Otherwise path without special features...considering the time, no snow or ice on path, markings in place smile

. At summit light wind, at times a bit stronger, but not creating excessive cold. Views best to the north (on the other side clouds starting to form).
Safe steps to all further.

Today I went to Rogatec from the Church of St. Lenart to Špeh and then continued to Rogatec. This trail is easier than the one from Kal but towards the summit you still need to be careful especially on descent. Otherwise nice weather and no special features. No snow or ice anywhere anymore. I'll attach some photos from Rogatec summit.

Well yeah.
Everyone according to their abilities. Already several times to Rogatec on this path.
Wondering if edelweiss is blooming yet?

Nice, I really envy you having some little peak in your municipality. We have none, can't even get to Boč and Donačka.

Today nice and interesting tour through the underground under Veliki Rogatec and ascent past the bivouac on Kal to Veliki Rogatec. Nice mountaineer's greeting.

Parked 500m before St. Lenart. Road in upper part is packed and icy. Ascended to Kal via second gully dropping to road above the church. Nice steep terrain. Rogatec ridge to summit dry and passable. Sit for a while watching fog rolling towards me from Ljubljana basin. Pause a moment. Magical atmosphere ruined by wind starting to blow stronger pushing me on. Continue on ridge up and down over slopes and heights until nice hunting path pulls me off ridge to Zg. Klinar. From there to Zg. Špeh and descent back to start.

Yes, gullies under Rogatec are pretty full of chamois. zavijanje z očmi

I couldn't cross that one in my pic without rope at all, so I went alongside it to the top where it was narrowest and crossed there. mežikanje

Ninja yes it is. Check the third page of this forum. This variant was mentioned on the forum already in 2016 and 19, but in the approach direction to Rogatec, I descended along the ridge.

Aleš so far I haven't had that luck nasmeh

garmont I agree. Where I went it went nicely along and through the gully, steep of course, but passable. As long as the sole grips it goes. nasmeh

Today from the church past Špeh to Rogatec summit. Descent to Kal and over Lepenatko back to the car. Just below Rogatec summit there's still some snow on the path that needs to be crossed with all caution. Later snow is no longer an obstacle. mežikanje

Today start from regional border, on "šverc". Up over Lepenatko, then past bivouac to Kal. Down towards Špeh and along tracks and forest roads back to bivouac and under Lepenatko back to marked path and return along those macadams to Volovljek. Snow caused no problems anywhere. The sun was warming, the wind was ruffling the hair. nasmeh

Today to Veliki Rogatec from St. Lenart church. Access to the starting point on macadam is arranged, but one can see that the road was recently repaired in several places. Wonderful sunny day and beautiful areas. Path completely dry. Summit is a wonderful viewpoint in all directions. Back to the starting point the same way. nasmeh

Today nice afternoon tour to Lepenatko and Veliki Rogatec. From Kal saddle on very demanding path, path very exposed in some parts, great caution needed especially in wet weather. Today very windy, views wonderful.

Today I did a guide reconnaissance for Veliki Rogatec. I came from Črnivec pass and before Gornji grad turned towards St. Lenart. One can already park under the church. I turned onto the forest path and a little later parked and went to see St. Lenart church. At the church I turned right onto the marked path to Rogatec, which soon turns onto the forest path. Then I saw that one can drive with a vehicle to the barrier and thus shorten the path. Follows Zgornji Špeh meadow. On the meadow one can see the chapel and there is also the wish bell. After the meadow I went on the path called Čez Zgornji Špeh. It is considered a partially demanding marked path. In dry conditions it would be quite a pleasant path. Today it was not pleasant at all because it was wet. At least to me it did not seem overly demanding. Down I went on the very demanding path over Kal saddle. Today the descent on it was really demanding. Kal saddle is a pleasant spot for a break. I would recommend this path more for the ascent.

Behind the little church, turn right onto the marked path.

Before the branch to saddle Kal, turn right onto the marked path.

The logbook is here along with the stamp.

Down then along a very demanding path to Kal saddle.

Demanding - not a climbing pleasure for everyone.

Arrive at Zgornji Špeh pasture and back to vehicle along approach path.

Again the same as last year and the year before last…
From church past Špeh to summit. Descent to Kal and over Lepenatko back.
Crampons recommended for ascent from Špeh, for descent necessary. mežikanje

Towards Kal no problems with snow.
Road nicely drivable to parking under church. nasmeh
