Under the preduh and through it, it's nicely snow-covered. The fact that I claim you don't need it doesn't mean that perhaps someone else wouldn't feel better if they use it.

Last Saturday Viš was almost purely Slovenian nasmeh Our club, the Gorizia one, plus a couple of individuals and families.

P.S. regarding Anita Goitan, it seems it's closed only on the internet, there are no notices there. Those who went along it also didn't report any issues with protections.

Thanks for the pics; let me explain: the official FVG mountain guide after inspection closed Anita Goitan and Leva because protections don't meet latest EN norms (2019 I think) and until renovation these paths have now become alpine routes, unfortunately main PD didn't put up warning sign (as those at start of via ferrata at Visoka Ponca and Via della Vita), I recommend checking www.cai-fvg.it link "vie ferrate in friuli venezia giulia" for updates (unfortunately only in Italian)mrk pogled

Nicenasmehnasmeh, but didn't Polde know that the Corsi hut has been permanently closed for a couple of years. For now it's not yet clear what will happen to it?

At the nearest starting point to the Corsi hut the car is parked right at the cross or monument to victims of the powder magazine explosion. There's much more snow in this area than e.g. at the same elevation above Krma valley on our side. To Viška planina there's a good ski track, which continues towards Škrbina Prednje Špranje. Towards Corsi Hut to the right there was only a faintly visible ski track. I don't say this often but the ascent to the hut was somewhat "annoying". No path or heavily snow-covered. Last 200m elevation we carried skis on our backs and climbed the left gully so we reached the hut a bit from the left, the proper marked path is however clearly from the right. From the hut onwards there's very little snow, probably all wind-blown into the valley. Skiing would be decent at least somewhat from Krniška škrbina, but maybe later if time allows. We ascend to Mojzes and above it into the left gully. Pagoda position. At the top we peek down into the window where the NW couloir exit is. There's quite a lot of snow on the north side so this route isn't excluded sometime in winter. Along the ledge right and up the ridge to the summit. Weather was gorgeous as has been typical lately. We descend to preduh to greet Igor/Tatjana and of course out of curiosity about the hole. We dug hard for half an hour to break through that snow blockage. Skiing was more or less from Viška Planina to the car. Nice day

If you have crampons take them with you, if not turn back if they might be needed by chance. Given current temperatures on the normal route up I hardly believe there's much dangerous snow left. Speaking from Corsija towards the summit

If you don't get (better) first-hand info... Two days ago on FB post or pics from that route no snow, hiker in trail sneakers and without ice axe.

Probably interested in the initial snowfield condition. Given this mild winter it could even be dry there by the side/rock. Attach a pic if you go

Yes, expecting that initial snowfield, but don't want to run into some bad snow traverse higher up. Haven't been yet so don't know exactly what to expect. Most go up later in summer.
