That's how it's meant, it's the price of one-way gondola ticket to Visarje (since the price list is at the start of pilgrimage path, that's why "only down", but could be "only up" too). Many go up on foot and ride down, or vice versa.

Long in mind, finally we made Stone Hunter and Visarje. And even in wonderful sunny weather. 27 hikers, we split into two groups. The easier first one took gondola to Visarje, so plenty of time for sightseeing, walk and enjoying every step - why not this variant too? Second group walked the whole path to Visarje and on to Stone Hunter. Total 1,200m ascent and same descent. First 900m rise nicely, partly on cart track, partly forest path. From junction to Visarje, the path is wonderful, varied, full of unforgettable views. Partly soft path among larches, partly scree and final climbing part, well secured. And suddenly we conquered a new two-thousander, for a large part of our hikers first time, special experience. Views to western Julians really super. Saw Viš and Montaž. Other side Poldašnja špica, Visarje, Ojstrnik and Dobrač. Then our beauties Mangart and Jalovec....Great day succeeded.

Great. You enjoyed it nicely. Which path to the top did you take? I myself didn't spot any climbing part there, just some small cables for safer steps. Regards!

We're not all the same, even on the "climbing" to Raduha, some go with poles, some with SVK

And behind those with poles, rockfalls are rolling down.

Hello. If I start for the Stone Hunter in Ovčja vas and descend to Zajzera, how far is it then from the end of the path in Zajzera to the car in Ovčja vas? Are both paths marked? And I'd also like to ask, what should I watch out for...? I've already read here about the path, but I still can't picture it... Thanks for info.

About 3 km, less than an hour's walk, the marked path runs parallel to the road.

The first up, the second up-down, the third down. From Zajzera even if not marked, there's a road here. Don't forget the map! Happy trails
