Yesterday we did the same loop. The path along the ridge is still icy in places and requires caution. Hut at Planina Koren closed, path over the planina back without issues.

Today from Planina Jezerca over Krvavec and Ježa to peak...Korena. Descended past namesake planina to starting point.
Since I was late (slow), the snow due to spring temps was sinking deep before I reached the top.mrk pogled
Over Ježa used crampons, for descent on slush no.

Besides the touring ski track, from today on to Vrh Korena there's also a track for us hikers nasmeh Wonderful day full of enjoyment. At the top need to watch for cornices. High temperatures melt snow very fast, especially on return sinking up to balls... velik nasmeh

Today nice tour to Kompotelo and Vrh Korena. Still quite some snow, on top windy, but great views. Hut on Planina Koren open today, warden very friendly. Nice greetings

Morning from Planina Jezerca, Kriška planina, Planina Koren and Vrh Korena; back same way.
Path to pl. Koren dry with rare snow patches, a bit higher from pl. Koren snow, about 50 cm on Vrh Korena (my estimate). Snow just right frozen not sinking, soft enough no crampons needed.
Weather morning sunny, later cloudy, end of descent some rain drops.
Met about 20 hikers and chatted with some.
Original plan to Kalški greben abandoned due to still high snow, no visible tracks and suspicious clouds.
From pl. Jezerca the road for public traffic is closed1

Today a little look into Krvavec mountains. From Planina Jezerce first to Koča Koren and on over Košutno to Kompotelo and Vrh Korena. Returned via Ježi to Zvoh and via Krvavec to start. Met only two hikers, around Kriška quite some herb pickers. Path without special features. Little sun, little fog, temperature just right for hiking.

Once more to this area, this time with Matej, as he hasn't been here yet. Skipped Košutno. Weather great, path without special features, quite some hikers, and back to Ljubljana before road closure.

We were early enough at Planina Jezerca that the sun hadn't started melting the tree decorations yet. Below zero, frosty morning, mostly clear. Soon a haze appeared on the sky, the wind strengthened, at Vrh Korena it quickly became cloudy, due to gusts of wind we didn't finish the tour via Ježa ridge but returned via the approach path. Due to potato holidays, quite a few visitors in these parts.
When we were driving home, KSA peaks were clear again. That's how nature wanted it today. Still a nicely spent day.

Since I don't have touring skis yet, I went to test just touring boots nasmeh. Road to Jezerca OK, needs winter tires. From there the weather was wonderful, valley fog pushing towards peaks all the time. To Vrh Korena via Planina Koren. At Korena I caught up with a hiker who had trampled the path half an hour ahead, together we returned via Planina Dolga njiva. Snow on top about 15-20 cm, which may change especially Friday. For ski touring snow not yet sufficiently processed, though 2-3 tracks from Zvoh.

For now, winter tires are sufficient on the road.1

The snow sinks roughly to the edge of the shoes; today someone has already trodden a track to Koren.4

Under Zvoh there are already the first ski tracks of this winter. Still, it seems a bit of a shame for skis, conditions will be better in a day or two.18

Today a nice circular tour. Starting point Jezerce. From there to Planina Koren, then over Košutna planina to Košutno. From there over Kompotele to Vrh Korena. After short stop along the ridge to Zvoh. Then descent to the hut on Krvavec, from there to starting point. Path without features (no snow). But very windy and cold. Views wonderful. Nice regards.

Yesterday I looked at Ježa ridge from below Košutna. From south it's dry (picture), judging by other peaks same height where I was (Mokrica, Kompotela) also no snow on shady sides.

Today was a nice sunny day and obviously the right day for Vrh Korena. We headed to this peak from Jezerca. This planina is quite white. Then at Planina Korena we turned right to Planina Košutna, from there to Vrh Korena. On the return we decided to go over Ježa. The path is dry everywhere, in the afternoon when we went it was not icy anywhere. When you reach the ski slope on Krvavec from Zvoh, just watch how to cross the ski slope, as there is no path.

Some avoid it a bit because it is missing that meter !!!! I like going up there. Today a little dog joined me already at Kriška planina and went almost to the top with me. Started at pl. Jezerce, on to Koča Koren and direct to the peak. Down over Ježev to Zvoh. Zvoh not snowy yet, on Krvavec quite some skiers. Sun, almost no wind with nice views. Also stopped at Pr. Florjan for coffee and apple strudel.

Today from Jezerca past pl. Koren to Vrh Korena. Path trodden... from junction to Kompotela a bit less, weather super, little wind, ridge to Zvoh still virgin... untouched, so descent the same way as the ascent.

Yesterday on skis from Kriška planina over Planina Koren to Vrh Korena. Extended tour to Kompotela and Košutno. Snow tomorrow hard as concrete. From Kriška planina to hut on planina Koren in places already no snow, have to take off skis. Weather great, views beautiful!nasmeh
