MajaO, that question about animal behavior and your observation about the little dog is very interesting. Too bad no one answered. Maybe hunters know something...

@MajaO at several different places (steep slopes, known avalanche areas) I found skeletons of chamois, ibex, roe deer, so even these animals get surprised by avalanches sometimes, or maybe they die somewhere and the avalanche just carries them away. Maybe hunters know the most about this.

Backcountry descent Kredarica on Sunday, now it's 3rd level locally even 4th level, they'll still have backcountry descent, who's responsible here, organizer, so I know who not to turn to in the future.

already in the lowlands...if it goes on like this (it actually will) there will soon be over 4 meters of snow at 2500m in the Julians, as it's already been around 360 cm somewhere there for a while, namely up to 80 cm is supposed to fall. it will stay into summer for a long time, that's also a welcome delivery for our two small glaciers

I'm shoveling like a mole around the house all winter,
the shovel is already worn out from use,
dry snow in Pržanj has already piled up,
