I admire you all who create this section. And with your knowledge and photos you enable others to browse and search for flower names. Thank you, and in return a wreath of gentians from the path to Tosc... Majdanasmeh

Branko, thanks! I also browsed the internet and sandwort was the most similar to it.

Darinka, your yellow one is probably willow-leaved primrose.

Thanks Majda for the wonderful gentians. Best regards nasmeh

Branko, do you perhaps have a photo of the basal leaves of Scheuchzer's bellflower, to make a comparison with my photo. nasmeh
Are these leaves of the bladder or Scheuchzer's campanula1

Yes, Apolonija. nasmeh But I would like to see both flowers with leaves. There are countless pictures on the internet, but none shows the basal leaves, which are supposed to be round on Scheuchzer's bellflower, as the book says.

otiv, look at my presentation of bellflowers and you'll figure out that these are leaves of the pot-bellied bellflower - confirmed for sure. (From 22.07.2018 - photo no. 14.) Look at my two photos from Tuesday this week from Črna prst of Scheuchzer's bellflower - I already provided the exact description as Hoppe describes it. On Zaplana net there is a very similar photo of the whole plant. The flower size can be a bit misleading - depending on from which angle we photograph the flowers.
The entire plant is very well visible. In the other photo the lower part of the plant is no longer well visible because it is hidden in the grass.1
Part of the stem with these lanceolate leaves is visible.2
The entire plant is visible.3

Branko, thanks! We'll have to go together among the bellflowers sometime. Yesterday there were some again on Soriska planina, but the most beautiful were the Montpellier pinks. There are really lots of them, so everything around smells of them.

Yesterday we explored the Dolomites again. This time we checked out and walked those famous ski slopes at Cortina. You drive up to 2236m in front of the Giau hut and see those nice, undemanding ski areas. They are vast, full of ski lifts and even in summer they take you to 2600m to nice huts. We walked four peaks - all over 2600m - one has a hut. Since going in a group it's not possible to successfully photograph all the flowers with sufficient quality, and some escape you. Edelweiss and say Zois' bellflowers I didn't see at all, rock catchfly a little. Say I didn't manage to photograph the Bavarian gentian, of which there is plenty. In the rocks full of Triglav rose, on screes poppy. Alpine rhododendrons I didn't see at all. Nice weather - we had a beautiful day.
We find this Scheuchzer's bellflower everywhere.1
I think at least with this bellflower we should no longer have doubts.2
Already at the starting point at 2236 m I found snow gentian near the hut on the edge of the pasture. I haven't seen it at home yet.3
There were plenty of these gentians here too. I can't distinguish these gentians.4
Right at the start of the hike from the hut I noticed this delicate plant. This is the delicate gentian - Gentianella tenella. I haven't seen it at home yet.5
There are plenty of these yellows. We surely recognize the hairy cinquefoil.6
7
But it gets tricky with the others - avens or globeflower.8
Most likely some cinquefoil.9
It has such leaves.10
Up to the climbing area in the rocks there are plenty of different flowers. A bit behind I was lingering - common lousewort, could also be alpine.11
Vertebral lousewort - no other louseworts were there.12
On the path under some hollow there were plenty of this wintergreen. For exact identification you have to look well under the leaves.13
If the stem is bare it's naked wintergreen, but the flowers don't differ much among all three species.14
Alpine catchfly already wilted.15
I spot an entire stand of chestnut-leaved clover.16
There is plenty of this clover too. I'll look up the species later.17
There is plenty of mother's thyme along the path to the rocks.18
I notice a whole common kidney vetch - I haven't seen it at home this year yet.19
There is also plenty of Pyrenean dragonhead.20
Along the path I came upon a large stand of common Turkish clover.21
Alpine thistle.22
This one is very spiny, I also saw the thick-leaved one and perhaps another species.23
Vetch - I'll look up the species.24
Woodland bloody cranesbill.25
In the tall grass along the path I spotted a stand of fritillary.26
Already wilted.27
I found alpine fleabane - Erigeron alpina. I haven't found it at home yet.28
Compared to many-flowered fleabane, of which there is also plenty, it is a real dwarf as regards the flowers, though the stems are taller.29
Mountain plantain. I also saw other plantains.30
Flower of some different oxeye daisy than our common one. The photo didn't turn out well.31
It has such leaves - it could be the toothed oxeye daisy.32
Rock speedwell.33
Rough-leaved hawkweed.34
Now we are in the rocks - there is plenty of this daisy everywhere - it's not our blackish daisy. I'll look up the name. It doesn't grow at home.35
Rock pink - there is also much stemless pink and other pinks.36
Mountain catchfly and a somewhat hidden branched rock-cress.37
Dwarf rock-cress, among rock-cresses I also saw the scaly, evergreen and bluish-green ones. No others.38
Sieber's ragwort. This one actually accompanied us through the rocks.39
We have climbed the via ferrata and now on the easier path to the mountain top another flower reveals itself to us. It is full of Triglav roses.40
I still do not recognize this small white thing.41
Potentilla, saxifrage or potentilla. One needs to pay more precise attention to these little roses.42
For the second time I found blue forget-me-nots in the Dolomites - last time it was at an altitude around 2500m.43
There is a huge amount of poppies.44
On the screes it is all yellow.45
In determining whether it is Rhaetian or Petkovšek's, the leaves do not tell us much.46
We determine the species after the poppy has flowered. So it was Rhaetian poppy.47
Gentians at 2500m.48
As the last little rose, I present a find that I have not had at home yet - delicate felwort - Gentianella tenella. Close-up shot failed.49

Oh, Brane, you're a real lucky one, because this year you're nourishing yourself with all kinds of flowers on your mountain paths! And you, Otiv, too. I just can't believe there's still so much beautiful flowers on Soriska planina, the autumn heather reminded me too much of the coming autumn, as the little flowers tell everything where time is going. velik nasmehnasmeh

Today then Ledine and Ledinski vrh. Otherwise everything is very green, usually the grass dries a bit at this time-this year not. Still, the late summer mountain flowers remind us that we are already halfway through summer. These are Froelich gentian, hairy and other gentians, marsh globe-flower and maybe more. Edelweiss today I didn't see.
On the scree before Umik Žrela blooms bertolonijeva orlica. This is its classic habitat. Here I also saw other scree plants: alpine madronščica, scree pokalica, alpine čober, škržolice.1
Before the scree however I noticed common gooseberry.2
Already at the beginning of the protected path to Ledine we notice cushions of Zois' bellflower in the rocks.3
From Ledine onwards there is plenty of potbellied bellflower, I also saw scree bellflower, Witasek's and Scheuchzer's.4
I even found a little edelweiss.5
Marsh orchids.6
Daisy fleabane.7
Clusius' cinquefoil, I also saw the golden one.8
Capitate lousewort. No other louseworts were present.9
Kerner's poppy.10
Sieber's catchfly, right behind the hut at Ledine there is also capitated catchfly, naked catchfly.11
Carinthian edelweiss.12
Alpine speedwell, I also saw stemless catchfly.13
Rose-red primrose.14
Rough-leaved hawkweed.15
Hairy clubmoss.16
On Jezersko saddle and right on the top blooms Froelich's bistort - unfortunately the picture is unclear.17
The remaining are representatives of saxifrages - this is the evergreen one.18
Bluish-green saxifrage, I also saw the tufted and crusty ones.19
Globeflower or sunray - not the alpine one, as it had larger flowers. We can choose between the oval and prealpine ones, we won't go far wrong.20
I also saw more yellow ones, which unfortunately I mostly can’t distinguish. It could be dimek or škržolica.21

In KSA there are so few edelweiss compared to the Julian Alps, where there are really a lot in places and Tosc is already a mountain where we can admire them.

Otiv; first praise for the nice flower selection from Tosca.
Then; pity (for you), that you don't know about "hidden corners" in SA (Dleskovška plateau), where there is so much edelweiss that you have to walk carefully; it's really a pity to trample them. Satisfaction from viewing is really great.

Thanks and greetings to you too,@kati1909.
When I used to frequent those areas, the two-thousanders with Ojstrica and Planjava leading were in the foreground and I rarely saw edelweiss. I knew of a nice bunch under Koren, but someone happily dug them up. But there is plenty of other flowers, so flower lovers always get their due. nasmeh
