Despite the rain I couldn't stay home, but went in the rain with a raincoat searching for auricula above Gradišče. That's the starting point for Kališče and then to Storžič from Laški, which is the hamlet Bašlja. I went up the steep unmarked path and before the junction of the marked and unmarked paths on the left and right along the path there are auricula patches. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow nice photos. But everything possible is already growing from yellow globeflower, cross gentian, three-leaved false hellebore, bristly hemp-nettle, forest barrenwort and three-leaved paris.

You are really keen. You use every free moment. With raindrops the flowers are especially beautiful. Has the Carniolan primrose spread yet? The yellow variant is also nice. Regards

The primrose wasn't particularly tall. Never seen it before. But the flower color is something special. You can guess where I'm going tomorrow afternoon.

otiv, good morning. You're diligent. Wait till I retire. What all have you found already. I see the columbine is already of nobler species - not the common large-flowered one. I see the globe-flower is long-stemmed too, the common one has leaves along the stem. I've seen these this year on Kamniški vrh too. 21 and 22 will be spring gentian, a wonderful cultivated flower for rockeries and slopes, walls. It spreads well and is a popular cushion perennial. It exists in a pink variant too. The cranesbill is Hungarian. Now on meadows we meet both the Hungarian and the field one. We distinguish them by the leaves. The bellflower is spreading. I haven't seen it this year yet. The clover is black. The forget-me-not is woodland. I've seen the field one this year too. It has different flowers. But there are many other lowland ones we know less. Pictures 2 and 4 remind me more of red catchfly, it seems wild basil - also a butterfly flower - has those spines on the stem or am I wrong. The lychnis is called true lychnis. The pasqueflower is small. Picture 31 will probably be fritillary - similar to the common one - definitely not gray. Fritillaries and Gageas are very similar and recognizing these yellows is difficult. Your gentian is beautiful - I think I've seen it - not this year yet. Obir rock-jasmine has exactly such growth of the flower - only not rock-jasmine. I've never seen white catchflies. B.R.

Good morning, me too. I didn't want to add species names everywhere because I think otiv is fine without them too - There are 3 species of globe-flowers in Slovenia: heart-leaved, common and stemless. Brane, you always say long-stemmed. Look at picture 23 and you'll see leaves along the stem, so it's common. I assume picture 10 is from the same place. Even if not, can't say for sure it's leafless, as the first can start lower. Indeed more likely red catchfly, wild basil very similar except individual thorns. Best regards

Good morning! Brane, you invested much more energy in Orožen hut than I in Jakob, so you're even more diligent. But you lack some experience to go under Črna Prst looking for flowers at this time. Maybe on the south side you'd find more. On north slopes snow lasts very long, I've convinced myself of that many times on visits. Your flower knowledge is science fiction for me. Thanks for all written. Polhograjski hills are closest to me and always full of flowers, so I gladly visit them. We should go together to Zelenica flower garden sometime, just once the snow melts. Best regards!

I call the globe-flower just floral button.

Nice, I especially like such folk names. As for cranesbill, I wouldn't dare claim which one without seeing leaves. Flower color can be deceptive.

Brane, you're good! Nice flowers. Probably lapsus- look once more at 4. Common globeflower has no serrated leaves and petals are 5 not 4. lp
