The nearest mountain hut is Zwickauer Hütte - Rifugio Plan, located 4km southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Rauhjoch Biwak, which is located 0.6km to the south-southeast. 1.3 km northwest from the saddle there is glacier Westlicher Seeber Ferner, 1.7 km west-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Hochfirstferner. North of the saddle is the valley Timmelstal.
