Essener Spitze

Description:
Essener Spitze is 3200 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Zwickauer Hütte - Rifugio Plan, located 4km south-southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Rauhjoch Biwak, which is located 2km to the southeast. 0.5 km south from the summit there is glacier Hochfirstferner, 0.8 km east-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Westlicher Seeber Ferner. The peak is located south-southwest of the valley Timmelstal. The peak is located on the ridge Ötztaler Hauptkamm - Cresta principale Alpi Venoste.
