Hoher First - Monte Principe is 3405 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Zwickauer Hütte - Rifugio Plan, located 3km southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Rauhjoch Biwak, which is located 1.7km to the east-southeast. 0.7 km north-northwest from the summit there is glacier Hochfirstferner, 0.9 km west-southwest from the summit there is also glacier Gaisbergferner. Northwest of the summit is the valley Gurgler Tal. The peak is located on the ridge Ötztaler Hauptkamm - Cresta principale Alpi Venoste.
