Oberes Brettschartl is a saddle at an altitude of 2910 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 6 km east-northeast from the center of Schachnern and 7 km northeast from the center of Apriach. The nearest mountain hut is Zittelhaus, located 0.9km north-northeast. Trögeralmhütte is also relatively close. 6 km southeast of the saddle there is lake Weißsee. 4 km north-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Krumlkees, 5 km east-southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Mölltaler Gletscher. The saddle is located above the valley Kleinfleißtal.
