Bärenköpfe is 2863 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 5 km east-northeast from the center of Außergschlöß and 6 km east-northeast from the center of Innergschlöß and 0.6 km south of peak Hochgasser. The nearest mountain hut is St. Pöltner Hütte, located 3km northwest. A little further is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte. 4 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Landeggkees, 6 km east-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Granatspitzkees. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Tauerntal.
