Messelingkogel is 2694 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located in country Austria 1.3 km west-southwest of peak Bärenköpfe. The nearest mountain hut is St. Pöltner Hütte, located 2km north-northwest. A little further is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte. 5 km east from the summit there is glacier Landeggkees, 7 km west-southwest from the summit there is also glacier Karleskees. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Tauerntal.
