Gamslahnerkopf is 2466 meter high peak and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located 1.6 km north-northwest of peak Rainbachegg. The nearest mountain hut is Zittauer Hütte, located 3km west. A little further is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte. 3 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Unterer Gerlos See. 1.4 km west from the summit there is glacier Weißkarkees, 3 km west-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Wildkarkees.
