The nearest mountain hut is Kasseler Hütte, located 4km south-southwest. A little further is Andreas-Hofer-Hütte. 1.0 km west-southwest from the summit there is glacier Kainzenkarkees, 1.3 km south-southwest from the summit there is also glacier Hasenkarkees.
